At lunchtime, you can see workers from nearby offices taking a break here.
It looks like a spacious park where you can relax and unwind.
There are play equipment for children, and there are quite a few families here too.
The park has a long history, and there is a sign announcing the park's founding, so be sure to read it.
It seems that the park was originally built to be used by both Japanese and foreigners.

March, early Spring is a picturesque view of cherry blossoms and tulips. Flower viewing is free and the garden landscape with stream running through lends a calming feeling. Just sitting under a tree to bask in the greens and colours soothes the soul.

Situated at the centre of Yokohama, midst the office buildings, the Yokohama Park is accompanied with a wonderful garden where thousands of tulips bloom in late April.
We can enjoy the wide variation of colours or rare species which have unique shapes or colours.

I visited this park enroute to Chinatown. Next to Yokohama Stadium, this park is peaceful and beautiful. When I was there on 1st week of Apr, the tulips were in full bloom. Thousands of tulips of different colours were nicely spread throughout the park. Come at the correct time to behold these natural beauties.

You may not realize that you're in a park and not on the stadium grounds, but you are. Another beautiful park. Don't miss it, especially if you're going to a ball game.

this is what every busy city needs - a small area of green shade and water in which one can see some nature and hear ones thoughts.

We walked through this park for half a day, admiring the gardens, ponds and experiencing the walkways. It was very relaxing - especially in the middle of such a busy city

Yokohama Park is a peaceful and beautiful park in the middle of downtown Yokohama. It has some nice playground equipment for children. It has a small japanese style garden with pond. The real spectacle is during tulip season though when it is bursting with blossoms! Breathtaking!

We have visited the park on the third week of April this year but found that halp of the tulips there particularly near Kannai Station withered upon our arrival. Nonetheless, we could still find some nice ones at the far side of the park. The park was very near to Kannai Station and surrounding the Yokohama Baseball Stadium. It was a beautiful place in the city to view tulips in springtime. This year was a bit early for cherry blossom, may be due to global warmth effect. Anyway, we would visit this garden next year as we did in past years.
