Quite an eclectic experience looking through this impressive glass topped gallery with an absorbing collection of art ranging from Chagal,Matisse and Renoir to an odd Gogh or two. A thourough look at the art on display would take a least a day. Well worth a...More

Missing those Western artists, culture lovers? Along with some Japanese works, you can get your “fix” here. Perfect for a rainy day, too. Great selection of postcards in gift shop. We saw everything in 1.5 hours, but we were moving at a quicker pace than...More

This garden was soo pretty ! The colors of the park are gorgeous and it is very clean. Trees, rocks, little rivers and grass everywhere. Recommended for pictures !

Just a perfect way to spend both in nature and viewing exquisite art work. Impressionists, and other fabulous art work.

We got here using our Hakone Free Passes with some help from a friendly bus driver. It’s an interesting collection and we thought it worth the detour. We also had an excellent lunch ordering some set menus.

Perhaps I had too high of expectations after all the good reviews, but maybe I just didn’t appreciate the current special exhibit of glassware. For me, it was not worth the trip out, even though the building itself was quite nice.

There cannot be many art museums that you can see Monet, Renoir, Cezanne etc paintings next to each other and get so close you can see the paint strokes. Truly amazing. A little pricey however worth the visit.
