つくば市の民俗学について色々な展示がなされている資料館で見ていて大変面白いですが不思議にナウマンゾウの化石を展示されている。 一部なので全体像はよくわからない。昔の農機具なども見ることができています

桜地区の民俗資料館です、一般的な資料館ですが、古代の出土品などもあります。コジンマリとした歴史資料館ですが、歴史史料も多いので、いろいろ見れてたのしいです

つくば市発足前の一町村の一つ、桜地区の資料館です。古代からの住んでいた人々の生活ぶりなどの展示です。若干地域的な色も出していますが一般的な資料館です。入口前は、つくば市の出張所となっていて、証明書を申請した待ち時間などに利用するといいと思います。規模は大きくなく、１５～２０分位でざっと見られます。

桜地区の発掘出土品が展示されていて、農機具や機織り機など結構興味深くて楽しめました。ナウマンゾウの一部の化石、よくわかりませんでした。

日曜に行ったので資料館の中には入っていませんが、併設の広場でお花見をしました。
桜は並木ではなく、他の木々と一緒に生えており、山の中の桜のような雰囲気です。
広場はなかなか広いし、駐車場もあるし快適です。

つくば市の桜窓口センターと同所にあり、中心部から少し離れてます。桜村時代の遺物や展示品を受け継いだものですが、紀元前の矢じりや石器、花室川で見つかったナマウン象の骨や、形の整った縄文式土器、民間から寄贈された鎧兜、金田官衙遺跡から出土した瓦や土器もありました。昔の農工具や織機、生活用品の展示もあり、つくば周辺の昔の様子もわかりました。節電の為、月・火・金・土しか開館してません。2019年迄、県内の資料館や博物館のスタンプラリー開催中です。
