Though I read other disappointing reviews, I thought that there may be a possibility that my friends and I may enjoy the museum anyway. We walked quite a distance from Kairakuen Park in the rain, paid our 1,100¥, and couldn't understand any of the exhibits. Right across the JR Joban Line from the Kairaku-en, one of the three most famous landscape gardens in Japan, the museum is located on a hill surrounded by greenery. I agree with the Japanese review entitled "disappointing". We spent less than 15 minutes in this museum, and even that was stretched out because we didn't want to disappoint the two very sweet staff who had NO OTHER VISITORS while we were there.
