The museum is hidden behind a huge shop seeing red beans and peanut products- these are a highlight of their local produce. The 2 storey museum is free and shows the development of their red bean cakes through the generations. The exhibits are quite self explanatory although everything is in Japanese. This is a huge facility. Beautiful artwork, sculptures, etc. There is a lot of history and lots of info is in English. Its easy to get lost in all the amazing stuff. Plan on spending at least three hours here and maybe more.

Hidden behind grocery store. About jelly bean treats. Japanese language exhibits with no English :( don't miss garden of Fudo Diety a little further to left and past the Yokan Museum. You can also see through glass window of treats factory across from garden and watch workers make treats.
