About a year and a half ago I had a one night lay-over in Narita so I booked a half-day tour with Mr. KATSUMI KAMIKAWA,the proprietor of Rainbow Tours. He picked me up at my hotel right on time and then we went off to see the city. He explained in excellent English what we were going to do and... More

I was able to maximize my layover at Narita by booking a tour with Katsumi. He picked me up where he said he would be with a nice and roomy van. I was the only one in the tour and he brought me to the local fish market and witnessed a smaller tuna auction compared to the big ones in... More

My wife, daughter and I planned a trip that we would have an layover in Japan for a little sight seeing. I will say, it was a great plan, even if the jet lag was a battle, the time with Katsumi was worth it. He was where he said he would be at the airport. He had strong English, was... More

The tour was excellent, even though we have been in Japan before, From colorful temple ceremonies to ancient farmhouses, from gardens to markets, it was terrific. Katsumi speaks perfect English and answered every question. He took us to lunch at a small country soba shop we would never ever find on our own (plus they make their own noodles and... More

Our tour around Narita is way beyond expectations and the best tour we've ever booked. Katsumi was so informative and took us to a range of unique locations we would have never found or had entry to on our own. I highly recommend a layover in Narita just for a tour! Thanks!

There was excellent co-ordination while booking the tour. We found out about it while having a flight from Hanoi to LA with a long transit in Narita last year. My partner was not sure how it would be as he doesn't enjoy guided tours so much. But he enjoyed every bit of it with Katsumi as the guide. So when... More

Katsumi met our group of 13 at airport. Quickly loaded us on bus he had arranged for and we headed to Naritasan. Great comments along the way and very good explanation of the Buddhist Temple. We watched and enjoyed the Goma Service. Short walk around downtown Narita and then lunch at a Udon Noodle Fast Food restaurant. Very good and... More

From the burning ceremony, downtown Narita and Shinto Temples this is a not to miss tour for those with a long layover (or even if you are spending a bit of time in Tokyo). Katsumi is intelligent, funny and knows what people want to see. You get a bit of everything with this tour. I was in awe from our... More

I was dreading the long layover home after a couple of months traveling and certainly wasn't in the mood for a tour, but I decided to do this transit tour just to kill some time. I'm so glad I did. Katsumi is knowledgeable, funny, and his English is impeccable. It was a wonderful morning touring awesome Narita (which is totally... More

Normally, a layover is dreaded. I travel a lot and have some of the best serendipitous experiences by making the most of a short or long layover. Since Narita is so far away from Tokyo, some/many travelers can feel somewhat trapped, even though it's a very nice airport. If you have a layover of 4 or more hours, this is... More
