Beautiful grounds, must visit during the Gion festival to take in local fare and floats. About a mile walk from the NRT train station, good shopping on the way.

For health buffs and into negative ion searching, this place is the best. You may walk and find different places to eat at the arcade and then be ready for a long walk around the temple and garden

During our transit in Narita en route to Honolulu, I asked my boss and his wife if they were keen on visiting the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple since the hotel offered a free shuttle service to Narita Station. From the station to the temple, we discovered...More

Went here on a solo trip around 4:00 PM and everything was pretty much closed already. Although there were a few stragglers around that time it was pretty empty. I would still suggest going because it was very peaceful. You must walk through the park...More

Narita is more like a day trip. So long as you have already scheduled what you want to see and do in Tokyo then 2-3 days of downtime is possible in Narita.

I don't know if it is forbidden or not, but actually, I did not see anybody eating at the park. There are some areas to seat and rest, and besides that there is a cosy restaurant where you can have something to eat.
