Pretty amazing creatures! Very entertaining for kids. The displays were very high tech and intricate. They have a life size replica of a whale outside the museum which is magnificent. Fee is a bargain (about US$6 person), while everything in Japan seemed way too expensive for us.

The exhibits in this museum were great and it was a fantastic way to spend a rainy day in Tokyo. There was very little information in English though, which meant that I really didn't get a great deal out of the visit. There was so much information that wasn't available to me although the elderly volunteers that offered up stories to me were absolutely brilliant. Not only did they know my language but were able to convey interesting and funny tales to me about the exhibits and pictures I was looking at. They were all well worth listening to and engaging with.
