Hanging out with family, friends, kids... Perfect place. Not crowded at any time. They also place for BBQ during summer

If you're tired of shopping and crowded mall, this place may helps you fill better. "Mihama-en 見浜園" is a Japanese traditional styled garden located in Chiba city. It's a part of "Makuhari-Kaihin Park 幕張海浜公園". Personally, I felt that it's a kind of like small "Sinjuku Gyoen 新宿御苑" in Tokyo. Entrance fee is 100 yen. There are Japanese pine trees like... More

On a business trip to Tokyo I visited the Makuhari Seaside Park, which in itself was very ordinary, run down but provided a nice walk along the Chiba sea front looking across to Tokyo and Mount Fuji, but I found a little gem, the Mihama-en Japanese Garden within the Park. Lovely walk around this bay side park...but needs a bit of care and attention. I was there in spring...plants and weeds growing...pathways need repairs...seating was broken and needed repair. Very mature pine tree reserves spread through the park. I enjoyed my walk...clean fresh air and a sea breeze...yes I will go again.

Spread in an area of about 1.5 km long, this park is a green area with facility for children playing, roller skate, and beach. Located just next to Chiba Marines Stadium where many of the major baseball match are played. In summer, a show of fireworks with about ten thousands blast can be seen from this park for a fee...
