Mt Fuji, Hakone, Lake Ashi Cruise and Bullet Train Day Trip from Tokyo

4,629 reviews
Navigating Japan’s public transport system can often be a daunting task. Let a guide do the work for you on this tour of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi by coach and bullet train, which saves you hours in travel time. Ascend to the Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station; ride on the Komagatake Ropeway, one of Japan’s highest aerial tramways; and take a cruise on Lake Ashi, part of Hakone National Park.

I had stayed at a nearby hotel provided by my company and expected the hotel to be more closer to Tokyo metropolitan area to be honest - I am glad it wasnt and as it turned out, owing to late checkin, we had 4 hours to spare and went for a trip along this lake. This turned out to be the most wonderful trip of my life. The breeze was cool in Dec 13. And man! The scenic beauty of the lake and spots along the lake mesmerised me! The photos, if one searches on the net (I have a slow connection so cant really post) would reveal its true beauty. It was like that I landed up straight at Denmark! Along our walking stroll to the lake, we saw wonderful Japanese landscape, beautiful houses, an open field, a huge wonderful peaceful park with open fields and lawns, an amazing pathway at the end of the park leading to the lake - and what not. It was an exhilarating experience to say the least! Wonderful wonderful place - would love to visit there if I get an opportunity again!!
