There are lots of workshops in other shops making marbles (10min), gluing glass on music boxes, sun catcher etc. But definitely book and try the hot work (making vase / cup) at 1200 degrees. Takes 40 minutes and need to book in advance.

The building is old Japanese style. It sells a large amounts of intricate glass artworks, all of which are beautiful. If you are not into glass artwork (just like me), you don't have to spend time walking into the store. You can just stand across the street and take a photo of the building.…

Went this nice shop and decided to buy a set of wine glasses (see attached photo). Somehow, I misplaced (or lost) it and could not find it now. There is a wine tasting in the back but did not open during our visit. I surely will spend more time to fully explore this store during our next visit. …

The accessories and small girly goods were very pretty and cute at Taishougarasu Museum, girls would love it.

Taishougarasu shops are all around the main street in Otaru selling similar but yet different styles of glassware. Service was generally good and lots of different varities - candle holder, kitchenware, sake glass set and decortation items etc.
