We had ramen at 1 of the store and it's really tasty. We've a group of 7 and it's quite difficult to find a store that can accommodate all of us. We went in to 1 that only has 1 customer in the store and just nice to accommodate 7 of us with him. Due to the small space, we'll... More

We visited Hakodate during the ice storm of January 2016. Many restaurants were not opened while we were in the city. Luckily, the restaurants on Daimon Yokocho was opened and we were able to find seats at one of the small stalls. The 4 other customers dining in the stall were more than happy to welcome us to sit in... More

The location just nearby the Hakodate Eki Mae Tram station about 10 minutes walk. The place not easy to notice but should be fine if you look around. The foods are so so. Price wise, reasonable but there are cheaper alternatives around. I do recommend if you do not have so much time to discover what to eat in Hakodate... More

We had our ramen at off peak hours at about 230pm. The place is mostly if not all smoking, so not ideal for non smokers. Good place to just walk around and see the traditional 'street' food scene in Hakodate.

Most dinner shop closes very early hour in winter seasons. Street food with small cubical space for business traveller or a fast food styles. Not suitable for group travellers that have 10 or more to do meal together.

Stumbled into this place by accident but was a great discovery. Had the Shio ramen at the first stall. Surprise to be offered a discount too (¥500 instead of ¥750). Apparently a 'happy hour' special. All the shops are rather cramped but popular with both foreigners & locals. What we didn't like was the smoking. We saw many places where... More

it consist of 2 small alleys with rows of tiny restaurants. if you take good look, you can find the english name a bit hidden in some shops. Went there for lunch so not many shops are open. We went there to try the Shio gold ramen, which is quite good.

Tried this restaurant called crab shop. There's English menu so if you don't speak or read Japanese, it's alright. The crab is really fresh. You have to order an alcoholic drink whether you want it or not. That's their house rule.
