But I did not find this exterior to be the least bit compelling. The interior, however, proved to be a different story.... More

In Motomachi area, there are many Occidental constructions, which attract tourists, and Motomachi Catholic Church is maybe the most representative one. It is free to enter the garden and take a picture.

We visited the Church by early June but by the time of arrival, it was closed already. So we could only view from the surroundings. The church was located on top of Hiyori-zaka slope overlooking the Bay area. Behind the church proper was a kindergarten belong to the same church organisation. Worth to have a stroll around the area while... More

After a short walk from the bus stop, found this quiet Catholic church. It is also close to the Russian Orthodox Church.

Motomachi Catholic Church is close to Hiyori Zaka Slope. The church is small and closed on Friday so I didn’t go inside.

Beautiful church located on top of the hill overlooking the town. Interior is gorgeous and very calming and peaceful presence. Worth a visit even if you're not Catholic!!

Sadly this church built in 1859 the same time as the Russian Orthodox church across the road has had additions and modifications over the years and it is a bit of a mess appearance wise. It is still an interesting piece of history and worth a visit
