We were staying at the New Akan Hotel. This trail was just next to our hotel. We decided to have a morning walk before breakfast. This September weather was nice.

Guide said that it was a 5 min walk into the forest, but it was more like 15 min walk. Place is a bit quiet and have to be careful when walking there. You can smell rotten eggs at times

Caution! Bear alert! Honestly, i expected more from this place but its quite dull, only a small area of land with smoke emitting from the grounds. However, when we were there, an adult deer stood from about 100 metres away, curiously watching us. We were quiet and not moving towards it. All of a sudden, something spooked it and the deer dashed off. A minute later, we heard a growl that was identical to a bear. Be cautious when you go.

The walk to the mud bokke is very easy, the bokke itself is interesting but not really astonishing. I recommend the 1.5 km trail to return to the Eco center while having a nice and educative walk in the forest, arriving to a nice path through a series of small tori and mini-temple. I also recommend to bring warm clothes coz it is really freezing over there...
