駅前通に面してて１階は北海道銀行なのでわかりやすいです
図書館とは思えない綺麗さと設備でした
釧路市民じゃなくても気軽に入れたので有意義な時間潰しになりました！

JR釧路駅に進む通り沿いに有る、立派なビルです。館内は写真撮影不可なので投稿できませんが、地元を題材とした小説の展示などが有ります。ここは長い時間をかけて見て回りました。勿論無料です。

新しい市立図書館がビルの4階から7階にオープンした。
各階に閲覧スペースがあり、ゆったりしたいす席がある。特に7階の休憩室は飲食可で釧路市の景色を見ながら休憩ができ、飲み物の自動販売機がある。食べ物は隣にコンビニがある。
閲覧と休憩なら特に市民でなくても自由に入館でき、釧路や北海道に関する書籍も多くあるので、旅行者にとって市内散策の途中に休憩するによいスポット。

今年の２月にリニューアルオープンした釧路市図書館（正しくは、釧路市中央図書館と言います）に行ってみました。
北大通りに建つ真新しいビルの３階から７階までが図書館です。６階には「釧路文学館」が併設されていて、釧路ゆかりの作家たちについてや、その作品などが展示されていました。お気に入りのスペースは、７階のラウンジです。自動販売機があったり、ちょっとした飲食物ブースがあって、ベンチに腰を下ろして大きな窓の向こうに広がる釧路の町並みを見ることができるんです。
図書館の建物の裏手には数十台分の駐車場があります。私たちが訪れたのは平日の午前中でしたが、ほぼ満車に近い状態でした。イベント時などには、明らかに駐車場が不足するのではないかと心配です。

新釧路道銀ビルに入居している市立図書館です。大通りに面してはいるものの1階部分は銀行窓口で、知らないと素通りしてしまいそうでした。1階ATMコーナー横には図書館フロアに上がるエレベーターがあり、銀行窓口が休業でも図書館利用者は多いようでした。

新しい釧路市の市立図書館がオープンして１年あまり経ったでしょうか。新しい市立図書館は、釧路市のメインストリートである北大通１０丁目の新釧路道銀ビルの３～７階に入っています。
館内は明るくきれいで、書架などもゆっさたりと配置されていて、閲覧できるスペースも豊富です。私たちは時々訪れていますが、ビルの後方にある駐車場はいつも込み合っていて、時には入場を待つこともありました。

２０１８年２月新釧路道銀ビル３～７階にオープンした図書館です。地方都市の図書館としては立地、規模ともに優れていると思います。６階には「釧路文学館」となっており、原田康子、石川啄木などの釧路ゆかりの作家の直筆原稿や初版本などが展示されています。

北大通沿いの大きなビル(北海道銀行)に入っています。パッと見て、「これ全部市立図書館？」と驚いてしまいました。こんな規模の市立図書館はそうそう無いのでは？費用負担もかさむでしょうし、本当に地元の人が喜んでるかどうか？気になりました。

2018年2月にリニューアルオープンしました！
釧路駅により近くなり、便利になりました。

北見行きのバスに乗車時刻があったので、こちらの図書館で調べ物と読書を楽しもうと伺いましたが、残念にも場所を移動し、建て替えのため閉館でした。来年2018年9月で2月3日オープンです。
