The symbol of Yuda Onsen is a white fox. Legend has it that it was discovered because a fox was healing its wounds in the hot springs, and that is where this shrine is located. There are more than 100 stone steps when you climb there. There is also a white fox walk behind the shrine.

This is a shrine, which is located on a top of a small hill at the confine of Yudaonsen. You should go up steps, but it is not so hard as it looks like. From the top, you can also enjoy a partial view of Onsen area. The benefits of this shrine are: coupling and uncoupling. There are two different kinds of wish boards. Don’t make a mistake.

Kumano Shrine is located on the outskirts of Yuda Onsen. It is located on a small hill, and the stone steps are quite steep to climb. It is said to have started when the Ouchi clan promoted the shrine from Kumano in Kishu.
