現在工事中であるが、なかなか良い道の駅。ゴールデンウィーク期間中は近くの川で大きな鯉のぼりの泳ぐ姿が見れ、ここで販売されている野菜は安く
地元で飼育されているメダカや金魚も売ってます

地元の農産物、情報案内、土産物、手芸品・レストランまである道の駅。となりに普通のスーパーがあり、裏にちょっとした子供用の遊具もある。土産物は、当地のローカルなものだけでなく、周南・下松・山口エリアまで広範囲の物産が手に入る。国道や高速道路が交わる交通の要衝にあるとはいえ、田園地帯のど真ん中にあるのだが、来客もそこそこあり、また寄ってみてもいいな、と思った道の駅。

休憩を兼ねて入ったのですが、地元の新鮮な野菜や蜂蜜に加え、近隣の修道院でハンドメイドで作られているスリッパも良さそうなので購入しました。美味しい珈琲やソフトクリームもリーズナブルな値段で楽しめ、大正解でした。

幹線ではない国道にある道の駅としては、比較的規模も大きく活気があります。レストラン、喫茶、売店、農作物などを販売する地産品の市場、パン工房など施設が充実しています。スーパーマーケットや子供広場も隣接しています。観光客だけでなく、地域の方も多く利用しているようです。

漬物や野菜、アイスクリームまで、お手頃な価格でいろいろ見れて、ドライブの休憩兼お土産購入に便利でした。トイレが少なめだったので注意。

地元の名産品が充実しています。手作りのお手玉、巾着袋、テシューケースなど可愛い雑貨もたくさん売られています。巨峰ソフトクリームが人気のようで、老若男女、皆さん食されておりました。

5月の連休に初めて訪れました。山口市中心部より少し離れたところにあります。道の駅によくある地元の物産市場のような売場とお土産売り場がありました。2階建ての建物の2階部分にも行きましたがこちらにはあまり人がいませんでした。道の駅の後ろ側には子供の遊び場があり、木製の大型遊具で子供たちはしばらく遊んでいました。レストランでは、ソフトクリームの販売もあり、おいしくいただきました。次回はイベント開催日に行ってみたいです。
