Lots of samples were offered and it was interesting to see candy being packaged through a window. Fruit, snacks, and candy were for sale in this large store, and there is an observation deck upstairs.

This is a castle -style building which looks quite impressive from the outside but inside it is basically a sweet factory where you make your way round the many counters of foods (but mainly sweets) an each counter has a sample of the product on show that you can taste. Many of the sweets are the very sweet fondant type and quite sickening. There is no pressure to buy and you can sample as many or as few as you like. This is a place where many tour buses stop so it can be quite busy. This stop wasn't on our itinerary but our tour guide took our bus here.

Kotobukijo is a castle-like building which is a gift shop. The location is a bit remote, local tourist bus stop by just 4-5 times every day.

We visited here as part of a tour party. Large car park at the front of the venue, so no issues for parking.
A wonderful ''castle'' built building that has a working confectionary factory which produces some fantastic, amazing products. On entering ...you are invited to take some spring water with small glasses which you help yourself too.....I was amazed at the wonderful array of displays and all staff at each display had trays of their particular sweets/food for you to taste prior to buying. We experienced some interesting flavours in sweets with lots of nut products, biscuit, sweets,, fudge, cakes, etc......
There is also on this floor a working factory that has viewing windows for observation.....
Very little happening whilst we were there, but the place sis spotlessly clean...
Having bought a few of the most obscure sweets we ventured up to the top floor to the look out and the shrine. There is an escalator, stairs and a lift to the top observation level. At the top there are lovely views and a shrine.
On the second floor there is a large dining/restaurant, but unfortunately we didn't have time to stop and try and food there.
I bought a lovely selection of biscuits and sweets in decorative boxes as gifts.
