テニスコートやキャンプ施設もありますが昆虫採集に良い場所です。昔は整備されていましたが今は少し荒れています。それでも夏にはキャンプに行く人も結構あります。

鳥取市から近いですが、夜は真っ暗で人の気配はありません。コテージやキャンプ施設があるので、春から秋にかけてキャンプが楽しめます。川沿いに歩道も整備されていて山歩きもできます。冬はコースは短いですがスキー（500円）ができます。小さな子供連れには無料でソリ遊びもできます。

キャンプ場やコテージ、テニスコートがあります。夏はキャンプに、冬は麓でスキーを楽しむことが出来ます。ただ、鳥取市内とは言えかなり市街地からかなり離れた場所にあり、周囲には商店やコンビニなどはまったくありません（有るのは自動販売機のみ）。人里から離れて人工の光もほとんど届きませんので、天体観察をするにはいい場所ですよ。
