This is the tourist information center where you can purchase the canal boat cruise. It is also the meeting place for the walking tours. Standard tourist centers with a washroom. There were English speaking staff.

We ended our day in Kurashiki at this place, but probably should have started it there. The staff seemed pleasant and ready to tell us anything we wanted about the historic part of the town. It is sited inside a big, old, wooden house on the canal-front. Maps and pictures of old Kurashiki inside and a fascinating model of a religious procession held once a year. We even had a chance to buy a mask like the ones used in the procession. Fun to look around.
