Same stuffs different place
Dec 2019 • Family
If you have been to one in other part of japan , you would have find similarities in shops etc.

Go visit the place if you intend to spend some cash . Adidas happened to have additional storewide 60% off which resulted in smooth transitions of my cash to the cashier

Typical International Outlet Mall
May 2019 • Couples
Kurashiki Historical Area is good but most of us only have a limited attention span. So if you walk a few minutes back to the Train Station, then walk through at upper floor level, the high level walkway takes you through to the two malls. First you walk into a small conventional mall which is the Ario Mall. Entry is through a small but very nice Loft store which in this place just has stationery, cosmetics and some travel items The rest of the mall has general electricals and every day type shops really aimed at locals. There is a large food court which is bright and clean but food no more exciting than malls anywhere in the western world. Through the Ario mall and you follow a walkway still at high level into the Mitsubishi Outlet Mall. Again this is fine for locals but unless you were in desperate need I would not bother. Virtually all of the shops were the usual US outlets selling the usual stuff. I was not desperate so did not go into the shops, if you were looking for an outlet mall selling Japanese products this is not the place. If you want a supermarket for food, fruit, wine, baked goods then there is a nice one at ground level on other side of the station. The one thing not to miss is the gothic clock tower and Danish themed statuary of Hans Christian Anderson, Viking warriors and Copenhagen’s Little Mermaid on the historic town side immediately in front of the station. It is so totally inappropriate it is easy to not notice and there is no explanatory sign. Actually it is a leftover from a Danish themed amusement park that failed. At certain times the whole top of the clock lifts up and there is a little puppet show. If this was in Tokyo it would attract millions of people. Here you wonder if the Vikings had actually discovered Japan before anyone else, as they did Greenland and USA

Choice is limit of outlet park!
Jan 2019 • Couples
Compare to other outlets in Japan. This outlet park is not too big. Don’t expect too many famous brand name can find. The parking is not free, you need to buy certain amount then you can redeem the parking hours. The outlet is connect to Ario shopping mall and the station. Better than nothing in Kurashiki for shopping of you !

Walking distance from Kurashiki station
Mar 2018 • Friends
Mitsui Outlet Park is a nice little Outlet park within a walking distance from the Kurashiki station. Once you arrive at the station, climb up to the main floor and you will see a pathway with Kurashiki city on the other end and Ario shopping mall at the other end. Walk towards and through Ario and you will come to a walking bridge that will take you to the Outlet park.

The Outlet park is a nice place with some big brands being sold in there. You can for example find Adidas, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Citizen, Levi's, Ray-Ban & many others in here. Also if you you need to get your daily dose of coffee, there's a Starbucks in the far corner. It's a nice mid sized outlet park with clean surroundings. Worth the visit if you are in the area.

Walking distance from JR station
Mar 2018 • Couples
The outlet is located within 5-10 mins walk away from the station. It’s quite easy to navigate as there are signage leading to the outlet along the way.

Shopping was alright, managed to get an Adidas superstar slipon for 40% off. As usual, limited colours and design available. Most shops have better promotion for certain credit cards like BOC.

Tax free was done easily at the cashier too.

Reasonable Outlet Offers
Apr 2018 • Couples
This outlet is connected to Kurashiki Train Station. You can walk through Ario Shopping Mall and follow the sign to the outlet. Shops at Mitsui are mostly all that we are already familiar with.

Not so interesting
Nov 2017 • Couples
Had expected more of the Japanese brand but abit disappointed by that. Quite a few international brands. Prices doesn't seem to be very competitive.
Went to the other malls that are link to Mitsui and feel that are had better mix and nicer stuffs.

Outlet park very close to JR Kurashiki station
Oct 2017 • Couples
This outlet park is about 5-minute walking distance from the JR Kurashiki station. There are more than 100 shops selling products with good deals. It is also connected to other shopping malls Ario, Sun Station and Tamaya, where there are more shops, restaurants, and food courts. You can spend a whole day there with full hands and stomach.

Enormous

Huge place with more than 100 brand outlets but less than 100 customers. How can it survive? Close to JR station.

quite disappointing
Jun 2017 • Couples
We were in Okayama Castle for visit and thus planned for a trip here where this particular Outlet is just nearby. Located in front of Kurashiki Station, this 2-level outlet mall features shops from well-known domestic and international brands selling goods at Outlet prices. On offers a good assortment of products including clothes, bags, shoes, watches, kitchenware, golf essential and cosmetics. You can find brands like Nike, Puma, Under Armour, Michael Kors, Brook Brothers, Seiko, Beam etc
Stores were the usual brands available in most Mitsui outlets. We have been to a few others but surprisingly this is the smallest and not much of the new stock. Mostly old stock with few exceptions of rather good bargains,. Overall felt the outlet park itself is not that impressive and the prices are not compelling. In terms of food outlet there are also limited choices.
In fact the shopping Mall just adjacent to Kurashiki station has a wider range and nicer stuff, though not at Outlet process..
We are unlikely to return.
