コンサートなどホールで開かれたり、
外でイベントが行われたりします。
倉敷駅前通りをまっすぐ行った通り沿いにあります。
美観地区の高砂橋からすぐの場所です。
芸文館の裏通りは表通りと比べ車も少なめなので
車で友人と出かける際、迎えに来てもらう時など、
倉敷駅だと混むので、いつも芸文館の裏で待っててねーと言われ、
待ち合わせに使ったりしてます。
外でイベントが行われたりします。

大山名人記念館隣に有る大きなホールです。大山先生生誕の地らしく名前を冠にした女流棋戦が開かれ、また５月中頃に今年の名人戦第三局が開かれます。貴公子佐藤天彦名人対昨年度最優秀棋士豊島将之二冠の一戦、将棋ファンには見逃せない対局をここで行います。余計な事ですが今年のＡ級順位戦、羽生九段、広瀬竜王、名人戦敗者の３名に大本命渡辺二冠でトップを争うと思います。目が離すことが出来ない１年になりそうですね。

美観地区近くにあります。地下に広めの駐車場があるので、車で訪れる際便利です。ホールがあり、外の敷地が広いので様々な公演やイベントが行われています。

毎年の4月と11月に骨董のフリーマーケットがあります。
私はオートバイで行くので、駐輪場も無料で利用できて便利です。
格好の良い建物でトイレは屋内外にあって便利です。

芸文館の外の広場では１年に４回、骨董品のフリーマーケットが開かれます。
今回、１０月２９日（日）はあいにくの雨天でしたが、それでも決行されました。
美観地区からもＪＲ倉敷駅からも徒歩圏内にあり、とても綺麗な芸術的な建物のある広場なので次回は好天に恵まれてほしいものです。

美観地区に隣接した多目的ホール。ステージイベントやコンベンションが開ける大小のホールと会議室、控え室などの付帯設備がある。外観も「芸文館」の名にふさわしく凝った意匠だ。広場では時折、文化的な催事が繰り広げられる。
