The normal visit to the Fukuyama Castle is Y200. If there is an exhibition, the fee goes up to Y500. We have no choice but to pay Y500 to go up the Castle as well as to view the exhibits where the information are in Japanese.

Not worth the extra fee!

Great photo opportunity

The castle may not be as grand as the ones in Kumamoto or Osaka but if you are in the city it is worth a visit. There was an art display in the courtyard during my visit and I found the juxtaposition of modern art and the Japanese architectural style to be quite becoming.
