Ideal for girls who like to capture still images with cute colored buildings. And back it has a beautiful sea view. And there are restaurants to eat in. Suitable as a stopover or buy souvenirs.

We spent a couple days in Ito and to Orange Beach to Marine Town from our Ryokan – it has a public onsen, a few restaurants and a seafood market (might be more interesting to Japanese tourists looking to take home packaged foodstuffs from the sea). The streets within Ito near the station have far more character, and we weren’t... More

We went to Ito for a night in June - whereas we had a great stay at a hotel with an onsen - the rest of Ito was very depressing. We headed out to Ito Marine Town to find something to eat. Everything was closed - apart from one place and frankly it did not look like any of the... More

I think it is the best 道の駅 in Japan. The shops are similar as other 道の駅 but you can enjoy the very beautiful seaview nearby. The buliding is colorful you can take some photos there.

A 20 minutes walk from train station to this small attraction by the sea, many souvenir shops and restaurants to help you spend an afternoon easily. A public hot spring ditch for people to wet their feet is interesting.

It is not necessary to go all the way to this place unless it is on the way. It's just a place for some shopping and food. We had our lunch upstair. Ample parking is available.

Ito Marine Town is a bustling indoor complex comprising of many stalls selliing local farm produce, wine, sovenirs, food, restaurants. We spent 2 hours there, and bought deliciously sweet and big fresh figs (surprised to find them in Japan), matcha wine (so-so only). We had lunch at "Izucho Banban Shokudo" on level 2 of the complex, which comprises of various... More

This place is really good for lunch time since there are many restaurants and we tried the seafood restaurant(chain store, maybe) because I really love sazae and it tasted good, impressive. The shopping mall had many varieties of goods from food to souvenirs--you can try food sample for free!! You can walk on the shore along the ocean and can... More

It's worth a visit for the restaurants, there is a 100 yen per plate Japanese sushi train restaurant opposite it. It's mainly a foodies dream mixed with a few souvenir stores
