And we were both very pleased we chose to visit. An excellent review of timepieces from both the West and Japan itself. All well set out and easy to understand. A lot of it was the collection of one man, and he was a wise...More

Echo other reviewers – this museum is very small but holds some interesting collection of timepieces, both old & modern, from all over the world. It’s just a short walk from the JR station. Admission is only 300 yen, and the air con is really...More

We stopped at this museum walking back from Matsumoto Castle to the train station. It was so hot we wanted to stop and get some air conditioning. I'm glad we did. This was an odd museum of watches and clocks (mostly). There is not much...More

Great collection of old and some very unusual clocks. Nicely arranged. Very nice to visit on rainy afternoon.

Head to this place if you love clocks as you will not be disappointed. As a tip, make sure you are there just before the hour to hear the clocks go off. It is only a small place but worth it if you love clocks.

Quiant little place which is worth it if you are a clock geek. Right on the corner by the "river" and easy to overlook if it wasn't for the large pendulum on the side. The staff is friendly and inviting. To be honest there isn't...More

The museum has a fairly limited exhibition of time keeping pieces but it's more than okay for only ¥300. The collection is interesting even for some one who isn't a fan. It was very quiet when I went at midday on a Wednesday (only visitor)...More

This is an amazing collection of timepieces not only from Japan but from all over the world. There were many unusual timepieces in styles I had never seen before in other museums. The pendulum clock outside is the largest in Japan.

Quite an interesting collection of old clocks and time pieces from Europe and Japan. If you don't have anything better to do, you might want to drop by. Cost 300 yen and you'll see everything in about 10 to 15 minutes.
