Neagarimatsu is another type of prominent pine trees found in Kenrokuen. We saw these old pine trees with big exposed roots near the Karasaki pine trees. Apparently, when growing these pine trees, a lot of soil was piled around the tree trunks and later removed to show the exposed roots.
