The museum was very interactive and I truly enjoyed my time here. You could spend about 3 hours wandering and experiencing the art. Lorenzo's Pool was nice but I couldn't enjoy it full with people taking many photos. Overall, it's really worth it to spend...More

I love art but was a bit disappointed the two exhibits that you pay high entrance fee for , were not so interesting. The restaurant in the museum is expensive but very tasty.

A very interesting and welcoming modern museum. Lots of different modern installations. Highly recommended, and across from the gardens.

When my wife and I came to Kanazawa, the first place we wanted to visit was the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, or more specifically, the well-known ‘swimming pool’. At the museum entrance, we were told the bad news that the ‘swimming pool’ was...More

A little small than other museums so you get through it quite quickly but not expensive so worth going to. Pool installation was the best there.

This is the place to be, when you are a fan of modern art. Look at the statue of Jan Fabre on the roof .... The swimming pool of Leandro Elrich was the highlight of our visit.

I can’t speak for everybody’s tastes, but I loved this museum. The works on display go above and beyond simple paintings, instead covering many types of media. The big draw is “The Pool”, the fake swimming pool you can enter from underneath (with paid admission),...More

A great place to while away an hour or two. The Swimming Pool is of course a must see. The building itself is also quite unique and everything is an easy walk from the main town.

The museum houses an impressive collection of works - some of which are outside and in full public view. My favourite part of the museum, however, was the building itself - amazing structure!

This is a nice break from temples and eating. Even our skeptical tween kid liked it. And it's CHEAP to get in. Great sculptures to interact with in the gardens all around the building, which is itself gorgeous. Small number of exhibits but all interesting...More

We only went to the museum because we were hoping for a nice, warm, dry seat and a good cup of coffee after walking through the amazing gardens. From that point of view, we should just have continued on to the shopping... More
