Remember to go into the shops. It looks like the street is filled with houses but these are shops covering all kinds of items.

I came here after visiting the Ninja Temple. It’s. quaint street with cafes overlooking the river. There’s no shopping here. Good place to walk and talk phonograph.

You can reach this place via the Kanazawa loop bus. We went in early afternoon and the street is pretty quiet. Some of the shops were closed. We crossed over the bridge to the other side, took a few pics and left.

Diagonally across from the higashi chaya district across the river, all shops here were closed when I was there in the morning. It's basically the same kind of buildings you see at the higashi chaya district but lining the river front. Also a very short...More

Most people visiting Kanazawa head to the spectacular Higshi Chayagai area to see the old tea houses. I recommend adding a brief visit on the other side of the river to Kazue Tea House Street as well. The highlight of this area is the Clifton...More

Its literally just a really short street. You cannot enter any of the houses, one or two of them look like they might be restaurants but they were not open either. Its certainly not worth going out of your way to have a look. If...More

This area is a place where the bijin (teahouse girls) lived and served their skills to those that liked the relaxation of tea houses.

An interesting area but not so much to see as in the Higashi Chaya District. Easy to find from the river.

The house is well restored and beautifully kept and takes you back to a bygone era. There was actually Samurai stuff like swords and armour that we enjoyed looking at. The place was teeming with tourists, though, so that took a little away from appreciating...More

There are some public bus going to there or near there, but I recommend to use your foots. There is the Oumicho-ichiba on the way. It takes 20 minutes on foot from Kanazawa Station to the Kazuemachi-chayagai district.
