It was snowy day but the ropeway is open. Roundtrip fare is ¥2900 (adult) and ¥1450 (kids). The first stop, there are facilities such as foot onsen for free and tubing for ¥500 for 30mins. 2nd stop has a nice view and there’s a park...More

Stunning views if you come in good weather. We went up during a picture perfect winter day, blue skies and lots of snow around. Amazing views from the ropeway on the way up/down and especially from the observation deck at the top station (which is...More

Very cold during wintertime but the view is nice. On top of second ropeway station, you can have a good look of surrounding mountains and forest. There is Sengoku-Enchi park next to it, which is fun to explore during winter when it's covered with snow....More

We bought return tickets to the higher station at 2,190m. The views of the ice covered mountains were spectacular. Best of all was being able to walk out on ice covered grounds, with perfect photo taking opportunities. There're coin operated lockers, suitable for storing suitcases,...More

A great way to see the gorgeous local area. Ice cream at the very top was fantastic. Best to go when the weather is good however it’s a highlight in itself being at the top of Japan’s third largest mountain.

It's worth a visit if you haven't been to the top of the mountain! There is an observation deck where you can have a view from the top at 3100m. It is also depending on the weather on that day. I happened to go on...More

it was a great experience to take the double-deck ropeway. The view from the observation deck was marvelous and the sunset in autumn is a plus point. Highly recommended.

Good place but RUDE staff On the way back from Nishihotakaguchi the ropeway no.2 I just ask the staff man "which floor is for the rope way back?" He just answer me " The ropeway goes every 15 and 45pass hours, thinking? Don't be stupid"...More

I can't speak to early June - but we were there in early July and there was no snow at all. It was warm and perfect for hiking and exploring. Have fun!

Hello dear traveler, sorry for the late reply. From my knowledge, it is rather hard to get a taxi/cab within the Gifu/Takayama region as it is rather rural. Even if you can get a taxi, it is rather hard to get one on the way... More

Yes from bottom & back to bottom of ropeway itself. However it's a couple of hours each way from Takayama by bus & you may well have to queue. See my review 're other considerations.
