We bought return tickets to the higher station at 2,190m. The views of the ice covered mountains were spectacular. Best of all was being able to walk out on ice covered grounds, with perfect photo taking opportunities.

A great way to see the gorgeous local area. Ice cream at the very top was fantastic. Best to go when the weather is good however it’s a highlight in itself being at the top of Japan’s third largest mountain.
