It was founded by Hinofuku in 1558, and in 1634 Kanamori Shigeyori made it a family temple to mourn Kato Mitsumasa, and a building from Takayama Castle was moved and used as the main hall.
Repairs were carried out from 1970 to 1972 and in 1993, so only some of the architectural style remains of the 16th century building as described in its origins, and it looks surprisingly new.
There is a lot to see inside the main hall, but when I went it was completely closed, so I could only see the exterior.

１５５８年、日嚢により創建されたる法華宗陣門流の寺院です。1633年、金森重頼が加藤光正の菩提を弔うために菩提寺としました。本堂は高山城から移築されたもので本堂は書院造の風格が感じられる荘厳な建物です。浄行菩薩が祀られていますので洗い清めることによって、自分の身体の病いや痛みを取り除いて頂くことが出来ます。

高山駅から徒歩20分ほど。東山寺院群の一寺。
1558年創建の法華宗の寺院。本尊は十界互具本尊。山門天井には鳳凰の絵が描かれている。本堂は高山城内の建物を移築したもので木造銅板葺き(県指定重要文化財)。境内には池と太鼓橋が設けられた庭園がある。

江戸時代の建築です。１６３２年九州の地から配流され、翌年この地で逝去した加藤清正の嫡孫光正の霊を哀れんだ金森重頼(３代)が、高山城内の建物を移築して本堂としたものと伝承されています。建物としての建築時の「平面図」が残っているのは稀であり貴重なものです。見たところ、書院造りの特色を有していると感じました。

１６３２年、九州からこの地に配流され、翌年この地で亡くなった加藤光正の霊を哀れんだ金森重頼が高山城内の建物を移してこの本堂に移しました。本堂は歴史そのもので、その横から延びる渡り廊下も風情があっていいですね。

Ce temple figure sur le circuit Higashiyama Walking Course. Encore un temple mais celui-ci est différent des autres, notamment avec son plan d'eau. C'est un très bel endroit, au calme, dans les hauteurs de la ville. Nous n'avons pas pu entrer à l'intérieur mais c'était chouette.
