中京競馬に比べて古いようですが、馬がとても近くで見れて圧巻です。
駐車場も無料で、入場料も１００円です。
１００円からかけられるので少額でも楽しめれます。
売店や喫茶店もあります。

どんこ競馬場でお馴染みの名古屋競馬場です。建物自体はとても古く昔ながらの雰囲気が漂いますが大きなレースの時には武豊騎手なども来ることもあり、とても盛り上がります。

競馬場自体がコンパクトです。パドックではすぐ近くに馬をみることができます。コースも小さく、３～４コーナーでほぼ大勢が決まるレースが多いです。騎手もそこまで多くなく初心者でも同じ騎手が何レースも乗るので馬券になるならないがつかみやすいと思います。食堂も種類が多く、いわゆるＢ級名古屋めしが楽しめます。

弥富へ移転が決定してしまったので、この場所で競馬を見ることが出来るのはあと数年となります。
地方競馬場も綺麗になってきましたが、ここは綺麗さと昔ながらの鉄火場の感じが同居しています。
JRAの競馬場にしか行ったことがない人は是非一度足を運んでほしいです。
あおなみ線の名古屋競馬所前から徒歩で行きましたが、この駅から徒歩10分程度掛かります。
地方競馬場も綺麗になってきましたが、ここは綺麗さと昔ながらの鉄火場の感じが同居しています。

名古屋駅から、名古屋高速鉄道おおなみ戦で１5分ほど、改札を出て（進行方向）左へ通りを真っすぐに 地方競馬場が見えてきます。設備も一昔前、集う人もやや古めの人たち、ただそのことがゆっくりと楽しめる要素と考えます。お店のきしめんもまあまあの味でした。

残念ながら近い将来の移転が決定したようです。確かに綺麗ではありませんし、客層もいいとは言えませんが、地方競馬らしいいい競馬場だと思います。鉄火場という言葉にぴったりなアトモスフィアを体験できます。食堂でのオススメはどてめしと串カツかなぁ。

中央競馬である中京競馬場に比べコンパクトで臨場感、ギャンブル性が高い競馬場です。駅の前に競馬場があるので、行きやすいのもありがたいです。

入場してからパドックと本場場までの距離が近く、一周の距離が1,100ｍと非常にコンパクトな競馬場です。中央競馬と比較すればお世辞にも綺麗とは言えず、馬券を購入するために必要な情報を掴むのが難しいとは思いますが、ノスタルジックな雰囲気の中で観戦する競馬もまた一興だと感じさせてくれる場所です。

名古屋市交通局が主宰する駅ちかウォーキングのコースの途中にあったので、せっかくなので寄ってみました。競馬はしないので、普段は行かない場所ですが、単純にお馬さんを近くで見ることができたり、レースの様子も見ることができて、楽しかったです。馬券は買ってみましたが、外れました。
