Beach is sandy with small rocks, so make sure you have flip-flops or similar to not hurt your feet.
Water is crystal clear and swimming is prohibited without required bathing suite aiming to preserve the maritime wildlife, but no one was stopping people with shorts or two parts swimsuits to go in the water, apart from a net between the piers.
Scooba diving was available on site as well as drinks and food from club restaurants

Relax and activity areas are very close to each other so for sunbathing relax you may have to go to the end of the designated area.

We arrived at our hotel in Aqaba and as they tols us there, this is the best and one of 2 beaches for tourists (both are about 10km out of Aqaba). It is overrated AF. It costs you 13JD per person, bus leaves at 11:00 and bus back to Aqaba leaves only at 19:30 (friday & saturday at 18:30 too). So or you wait till the end or you can get a taxi for 10JD. When you arrive they take all your food and drinks (except water) if you have some with you, but they give you a towel. With taking your food, they kinda force you to buy it inside, and ofcourse it' s not cheap. But you get a 3JD voucher for it.

It’s a great way to escape the hassle of Aqaba and relax by the Red Sea. Take the bus in downtown Aqaba for 10 JOD (both ways and entry to berenice beach, sun-beds and towel) for the day. Bus is quiet old but does the job. Have no Scenery expectations on the road to that area as you drive by the port and sand work. On site changing rooms, bring a lock if you want to use the locker facility. Today kids pool was closed and empty. Sun beds are a bit old and if you come later they may be taken. Access to the sea is tricky from the beach unless you have solid plastic shoes. You can access from the pontoon, may be more comfy. There is a quieter side on the beach but the music and noise from animation can still be heard so bring your headphones if you prefer your music. Drinks and food available, you need a charged card (after entry - minimum 10 JOD but you can have unused fund returned to you on the same day only). A few diving boats and glass bottom boat always clicking on scenes.... free WiFi available but not everywhere and slow.

Without going to exclusively-owned and managed places, Berenice gives the visitor good pools, a good beach, and opportunities for sports and short cruises along the local reefs. Arrange with hotel tour desk ahead or bring a credit card; no cash on premises. Good for a full day of higher sun and bathing just south of Aqaba.

Berenice Beach provides a good opportunity to see the Red Sea corals that are close to the beach. You can also swim to the Japanese Gardens that is a few hundred metres out, to snorkel the area. Berenice Beach provides changing rooms, showers, towel, pools and restaurants that are all included in the entry price. Unlike the Dead Sea hotels that provide expensive access to the beach with restricted facilities, access to the Berenice Beach is reasonable.

this place offered a free bus ride to their beach. The ocean was clean and clear and the corals were beautiful but be aware of scratching yourself on them. The swimming pools were lovely. The restaurant had a lot of deep fried food which looked overcooked, so we ordered the appetizer plate for 2 which was enormous and great value for the money.

Visited Berenice several times and enjoyed every visit. Very vibrant place with great opportunity for snorkeling, swim, rest on the sun and enjoy some great food. In addition boat trips and various activities are organized by the staff. Recommend to visit!
