In 1964 Ahmed Qatawneh became the first Jordanian diver and in 1975 he became the first Jordanian Diving Instructor. In 1998 he established the Aqaba International Dive Center. Now in the hands of his son Mohamed we have a family run Dive Center offering diving courses to certify beginners as well as higher certification levels of PADI & SSI. We are still one of the best Dive Centers in Aqaba guiding and supervising certified and non-certified divers to the best dive sites that Aqaba has to offer. Our priority is to provide fun filled dives with above all strict safety precursors. Your money is not our main goal, it is your wide smile at the end of our dives together which is what we love to see. Our prices are always acceptable and suitable for all standards of a diver’s budget. We invite you to come and dive in one of the longest running Dive Centers in Aqaba and write on this website about your wonderful experiences in our humble Dive Centre. We hope to see you soon and we wish you a beautiful stay in Aqaba!

When I arrived in Aqaba I knew I wanted to go diving and also attempt to persuade my friend who was a non-diver to try it. I knew this wasn’t going to be an easy task as my friend was adamant she was going to stick to snorkelling. After reviewing several entries on dive centres from trip advisor and actually... More

The kit for rent was really good and they don't take such a large group that the dive masters/guides cant cope. We did 2 dives, both were a walk off the beach. The first was to the purposefully sunk Cedar Pride and the Japanese Gardens reef dive. The dives were excellent and the variety of fish were amazing. Saw my... More

It was my first dive ever and it was amazing. We got lucky with Mohamed to be our instructor: So informative and easy going personality, Perfect English Professional diving guide, you feel it in simplicy and clearance of his instructions. We went there last week for our first scuba dive. We were a bit nervous as we didn't know anything about diving. Mohammed is a very experienced professional. He is very good at making you feeling safe. We really enjoyed this experience with him. We were a group of 5. He dived with 2 persons at a time and he... More

My two daughters and myself recently enjoyed a wonderful beginner experience diving in the Red Sea under the expert guidance of owner-instructor Mr. Ahmed Qatawneh. He provided all the equipment, transportation to the diving site, very clear instructions, excellent guidance during the diving session and emailed us over a hundred great pictures of our adventure. I cannot say enough about... More

After a long time I finally was in the opportunity to dive again with an instructor of the Aqaba International Diving Center. After a clear explanation of the equipment and the safety procedures and signals he took us for a perfect dive. He gave me the confidence to join him for the Open Water Course and the Advanced Open Water... More

My wife and I - Americans, mid-60s, no diving experience - tried an introductory couple of dives in August, 2016. Mohammed, the owner and lead instructor, was extremely attentive to my wife's nervousness, held her hand for most of the 1st dive and took plenty of pictures. She felt safe throughout - and actually quite proud of herself - but... More

Went on a dive with my son. I went for 2 full dives - he did a tey dive. Mohamad and Jeff were great. They were patient with my son and created a safe atmosphere. Performed all the safety checks. Prices were good. However - the equipment was not in a good shape. My depth meter did not work. I... More
