On the way from Wadi Rum back to Amman we stopped for a quick rest break and refreshments. There are many rest houses along the highway and my guide goes to various ones to help each business. This one was a standout. Inside it is a very large establishment comprising a café, min mart for snacks and a very large bazaar - it has a section for souvenirs, one for spices, one for clothes, one for glass and ceramics, furniture and jewellery. I had already taken photos before I noticed the sign - no photographs. The staff speak English well and it is interesting that they automatically offer generous discounts. I bought a few tins of olive soap and some jewellery - would have loved to buy the glass tea cups and glasses. A treasure trove for shopping. Tea was good. A good choice for a rest stop.
