If you are expecting a sandy beach, this is not it. But its pretty decent, clean and not so much crowd. There are hardly any waves, but it has reefs even just 20-30 mtrs out and you can go snorkelling or scuba during mid day. Only few options to eat across the road at the resorts.

If you plan to wear swimwear, do NOT go to the first beach closest to the town center. Drive a few minutes more and come to South Beach.

the area where we stayed seemed small but pretty. Not much space with all the chairs on the beach. it was clean

Not much to do... The beach is very stony and not much sand... But the place had enough place to rest and shower facilities available... Not a place to invest your time ideally... If you here for a short time

As a western woman, I expected to feel out of place, but I felt so uncomfortable at South Beach, which is a shame, because the snorkelling is fantastic with the guide ropes and the tank etc. I was wearing a very modest one-piece - my friends in bikinis did not even get out of their clothes. My recommendation is to... More

The temptation to get all what you get in Eilat is great: Eilat is extremely expensive and Aqaba gives good competition. the south beach is beautiful and quite, and some diving schools offer snorkels and diving props to the tourists. However the sea is far from being clean and the corals are in bad shape - so unfortunately the views... More

This place is not only for touristic activities but also for industrial area ferry and other ships ports. Because Jordan has short sea side. There are a lot of beach full of sand. But out of sea side is desert without plants. The colorful place is not outside, inside the sea.

Enjoy some of the best shore diving in the world right off the beach. Pros: the diving is extraordinary and the water very clean. There are several spots set up on the public beach with shade which is a nice touch Cons: boats zoom around near swimmers and divers and aren't restricted from the dive sites at all (and the...
