Some papers and waste on the beach, probably washed to the sand from the streets above. The water is warm and it has installations for summer: a shade here and there, rubbish bins everywhere and kids playgrounds. It's low season so maybe they don't clean it often, but its a nice place.

the south beach of Aqaba is very nice and there are many public beaches which have some services such as cafes, showers, and toilets.

We visited the beach off season and were the only people sitting on its miles of grubby sand apart from two backpackers who were bugging the poor locals for a free place to sleep. There were no facilities open and although there were beach umbrellas, you had to sit spang on the grubby sand. I expect it would be a... More

The snorkeling just offshore at South Beach is wonderful, with a few sunken boats and tanks which can be viewed in addition to good coral and lots of small fish. The beach itself has a fair amount of trash on it, and tends to be windy frequently.

- A lot of trush. + There are free toilets (guess cause of low season) and a lot of bins (which are used only by tourists). +/- ~12 km from Aqaba. Best beaches are #3 and #4. #1 is quite small. #2 is overdigged. #5 is empty and not far from harbour.

A lot of place for your free of charge rest. Uncrowded and cosy public beaches almost without locals, so women with bikini can feel comfortable.

The public beach doesn't have services other than a small local coffee , a lot of people are at beach, some are camping at the beach, it's good to spend some time there, but I don't advise you to swim, you will not find a shower.

South Beach is about 12km from Aqaba and parts are limited to hotel guests if you're saying at the Radisson Blu Tala Bay for example. There are sun beds and thatched umbrellas and a nice gentle breeze to reduce the heat. The sea is cool but incredibly salty

Difficult to reach public beaches 4 and 5, due to huge holes when you leave the main road. At the parking, lot first thing i saw was a drug injection with needle in the dirt. There a no shaded areas, no coffee places, all look pretty dirty compared to Aqaba itself. Not worth it.

Take a 5jd cab to the beduin center in the south beach. When u get there dont skip the boat tour. It will get u into the far reef for guided snorkling (only 5jd per person). Dont forget to bring your own mask or rent one before. If ur in shore be careful from sea orchids. They are everywhere. Ask... More
