A bastion of culture and the arts. Engulf yourself with the beat of Bulawayo dedicated to the presentation and conservation of the artistic heritage.

Almost no artwork, posters of the local football club throughout with so explanations as to why or who these 1970-80's stars were. No guides, basically nothing other than a nice old colonial building. I really wish I'd read a review like this before paying to go in

Has a wide range of art forms from local artists. Including sculptures, paintings and beaded jewelry. One can see and put orders from the artists in the work studios.

Centrally located the museum provides a good overview of local artist. Different styles and techniques on display. If possible have a look at the ateliers of some artists in the garden. The museum shop provides very reasonably priced craftsmanship souvenirs. A must see.

The National Gallery is housed in a wonderfully preserved building in keeping with the status of a gallery. There may not be an international exhibit on show, but the many local artists in situ make the visit memorable and interesting

As a Bulawayo resident, I have always made it a priority to experience Bulawayo sights whenever I can. One place I still had not visited wad the National Art Gallery, and when I eventually did, it was quite an experience. The staff was friendly and the exhibits were well maintained. The highlight was probably the coffee shop with its delicious... More
