Nekacheya Travel and Tours is a tour operator based in Zambia with over 15 years’ experience in planning and executing trips and safaris across Zambia. These have been trips to places like the Victoria Falls, Kafue National Park, South Luangwa National Park, Bangweulu wetlands, Samfya beach and many others too numerous to mention. All this is done under the umbrella of responsible tourism. Exceptional tour organising for big group travel!

We used Nekacheya Tours to arrange trips and activities for a huge group of approximately 50 people! Innocent was our main point of contact and did such an amazing job of organising! We did a number of activities including:
- Mosi-Oa-Tunya Sunset Cruise along the Zambezi: this was a breathtaking experience, and we were able to see animals along the banks of the river as well as in the water. The food was really lovely and great service throughout the tour. We were a big group of around 40 on the boat tour and had excellent organisation including pick up and drop off for everyone from various hotels!
- Livingstone Island: again we had pick up and drop off sorted for this visit. It was a lovely boat ride to get to the island and we had the breakfast option which was delicious! It was July so we were able to go into Devil’s pool and take some great photos over the falls. The service is great, we learned about the history and also the staff helped with some great photo shoots here too!
- Chobe National Park Safari - this was one of the best safaris I’ve ever been on. It brought together land and water - the boat safari meant we were able to see crocodiles, water buffalo and hippos up close, and during the land drive we saw elephants and lions up close too. Again we were a big group so had multiple vehicles which required a lot of organisation but everything went really smoothly and we had a great time. The food during this tour was also excellent.
- High Water Rafting - less people in our group did this activity but it was a real thrill with lots of fun! We felt safe in the hands of the instructors and really had a great time going through the rafts!
- Elephant Cafe - it was so great to be able to get up close to the beautiful elephants and feed them!
- Rhino walking experience - finally we had the surreal experience of walking with the rhinos.

Overall,the tour company through Innicent and his colleagues did a great job. We had individualised payment links as each person had different activities they wanted to do in advance of travelling, we had clear and timely communication of what was needed for each activity in advance, and everyone who was part of the group had such a great experience. I highly recommend doing an activity with this tour company!

Best Tour Agency in Livingstone!

During my one months stay in Zambia I did many activities with Nekacheya Travels & Tours. Even though I enjoyed all of them, my favorites were the Chobe Day Trip as well as the Angel's Pool and the private Sunset Cruise.

All travel agents from Nekatours (Herbert, Innocent, Gift & Jones) are extremely hard working and available at nearly any time. They are always concerned about getting the best experience for their costumers. According to Innocent, they try not to just offer tours, they want to sell happiness to their costumers. And you can really feel how passionate they are about their job, though never losing their professionalism!

For anyone going to Livingstone, I can only recommend booking their activities via Nekacheya Travel and Tours!

Cultural day livingstone (half day)

My friend and I were pleasantly surprised at how full of a day we had though we booked for the half day. Our tour consisted of a tour in town and viewing the heritage buildings as well as visiting the Livingstone Museum, Railway Museum, and Gateway Jewish Museum. On top of that, we were taken to Mukini Village where we experienced the Indigenous and modern living of the Zambian people of Mukini Village. Everything about the people is pure, and their way of living leaves one humble, not because they lack in anything, but because they are. We dance, we laughed, we got feed on this tour, it felt like an overflow of abundance and richness in culture that can only be experienced and felt. Our guide Herbert was more than willing to share with us, and teach us with such patience, which is how I definitely know us Africans to be. I expect so much more in the future for this tour, what an excellent tour and value it brought to our lives.

Professional and Memorable: Worth Every Penny

We spent four days touring Livingstone and we used Nekacheya exclusively for everything that we did. Our guides and host, Herbert and Innocent, met us promptly at our hotel exactly when they said they would be there. Nekacheya arranged for our Victoria Falls tour, our sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, and a White Rhino tour where we were able to see all eight of the white rhinos. We were able to get within 10 meters of the rhinos.

The Victoria Falls tour was made so much better with Herbert explaining the history of the falls. It as like taking a class on the history of the falls as we walked around and looked at the falls from every angle. Nekacheya provided everything we needed.

One tip is to make sure you dress so that it is okay if you get wet from your knees down. We wore hiking sandals and quick dry clothing under the rain parka which Nekacheya provided. They provided an experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Thank for having confidence in Nekacheya Travel & Tours for your various activities - Victoria Falls Tour, Sunset cruise on the Zambezi river and a White Rhino Walk in the Mosi oa Tunya National Park. It brings us great joy knowing that our team were able to meet your expectations on all the tours. Seeing the White Rhinos a few meters away from them is always an amazing experience. The Victoria Falls at this time of the year (January-July) is at its so getting wet due to the spray from the falls is a given, it is always good to wear comfortable hiking sandals and quick drying clothes. It is an honor to have provided experinces that you will have for the rest of your lives. We look forward to seeing you again and sharing more memorable experiences with you.

Best operator at the falls!

As we started our visit in Livingstone/Zambia and finished in Victoria Falls/Zimbabwe it was quite complicated to organize our activities with a single operator. However, Innocent was extremely patient and flexible even when we had to change our plans at short notice. Besides he was able to offer us the best prices and was responsive any time at the day. We really appreciate your great service and can definitely recommend you to anyone who will visit the beautiful falls! Thanks for everything.

Mother/Daughter trip

This was a mother/ daughter trip. Our guide picked us up at our hotel, made sure we were comfortable for the drive to the game reserve. Our guide, Dj, was very knowledgeable on the animals in the reserve, the history, took time to explain, answer questions. Great experience

We used Nekacheya Travel And Tours for an airport transfer and to book our Livingstone Island tour. Innocent was great and very professional! He was very informative during our hotel transfer and helped us understand the area. The Livingstone Island tour was great and his colleague was on time for all aspects of the tour. We had a great experience with them and I would highly recommend for anyone else to use!

Amazing tour operator. Efficient, Friendly and Informed.

Airport Shuttle, Angel's Pool, Sunset Cruise, Chobe day trip, Rafting, Game Drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya and Bungee jumping. These are all the activities I did with Nekacheya travel and tours.

During my stay in Livingstone, Nekacheya travel and tours was my first choice to organize my activities. All the activities I wanted to do were available and bookable (even when booking 1 day before). All the activities were memorable and I recommend all of them. The staff (Innocent, Gift, Herbert and Jones) are truly passionate about their jobs and are experts when it comes to traveling in and around Zambia. I definitely recommend to book your next trip in Zambia with them!

Nothing but excellence! Excellent coordination, excellent communication, excellent customer service, excellent punctuality.
Thank you so much for organizing our trip to Livingstone, my friends and I can’t stop talking about how it was such a beautiful experience.
Transportation was perfectly coordinated and we were happy with our private transfers and the drivers patience especially. My favorite experience was the elephant back ride and everyone should add this to their bucket lists. I can’t stress this enough but it was a beautiful experience. Big shout out to Innocent, job well done!

We understand that when making a custom itinerary, a lot of changes can be made and we are always more than ready to make those changes in some cases even making last minute changes to the trip. We are glad that you loved our choice of the lodge, as this plays an important part in having an amazing trip, we always use carefully scrutinized lodges and hotels that meet our standards and those of our guests. Our drivers/guides are always patient on all transfers as we leave room for spontaneous lay overs or waiting time. Excellent Agent to book all your Activities

Livingstone has several activities that are run by just a few vendors (Gorge swing, sunset cruise, game drive with rhinos). Nekacheya tours acted as our agent for these activities. I was able to arrange everything through them and they ensured I recieved the Zambian rate because I am an expat working in Zambia. Very trustworthy, organized, and went the extra mile to make sure things went well. Highly recommended!
