I booked a 4-night camping safari to Kafue NP through Zamsato starting in Livingstone and ending in Lusaka. Daniel, the owner of Zamsato tours, was also my driver and guide during the safari tour.
It was very easy to communicate with him through emails before the tour to discuss all details of the tour. During the tour he was an excellent guide who knew a lot about flora and fauna of the park so I was able to learn a lot about the nature in this part of the world. Additionaly, he is also a great cook - as I booked a camping tour we prepared our own meals in the camps, from scratch and with fresh ingredients. It was a great experience sleeping in a tent and listening to the voices of nocturnal Africa. I would definitely recommend Zamsato and I also plan to book them again when I am back to Zambia.

Daniel arranged a tour for me after I gave him my dates, budget and an idea of what I'd like to see in Zambia. He responded quickly with a full itinerary and after that he always responded quickly to any queries I had before the trip. Overall, I had about 8 days visiting Victoria Falls, Lusaka and South Luangwa. It was all very well organised and Daniel knew so much about the country and the places we passed through. The highlight was definitely the time in South Luangwa with its fascinating wildlife. Daniel's knowledge here was incredible too and a real bonus. He seemed to know the names, habitats and behaviours of every bird or animal we saw, no matter how obscure!

The tour was excellent and the accommodation provided was of a good standard - clean, comfortable but also nicely African in style. Daniel was very flexible and accommodating while on tour. I'd definitely book again!

We booked a great safari with Daniel in the Lower Zambezi NP and in the South Luangwa NP - and that for 2020! Daniel put together a safari for us that exceeded our wildest dreams. And then Covid came and the shutdown in Zambia. Daniel also mastered this situation perfectly for us and we could make this awesome trip exactly one year later - as some of the few foreign tourists in Zambia. During our trip, Daniel was always available for us and organized also those things for us that are usually not required: transportation despite very late arrival in Zambia, Covid tests and much more. We can unreservedly recommend a trip with Zamsato. Daniel makes dreams come true !!

Daniel (Zamsato) provided an excellent service. He helped us plan a great trip within our budget. We were all surprised on what we experienced at such a great price. The following is an example of how professional and dependable Daniel is. We were originally supposed to drive from Lusaka to Mfuwe. The vehicle that was supposed to pick us up and take us to Bridge Camp and then to Mfuwe had a mechanical problem. Daniel arranged lodging at Pioneer Camp and plane transportation to Mfuwe prior to our arrival. We were very impressed with his professionalism. When we arrived in Zambia we were greeted by Timothy from Pioneer Camp. When we arrived by plane to Mfuwe we were greeted by Herbert from Croc Valley camp. Our guide was Kalima who was amazing and had a great personality. There were three of us and we immediately bonded with Kalima. We made a few changes to our itinerary and Daniel was very flexible and accommodating. During our 5-day safari we traveled to the Nsefu Sector and Chichele area. We saw lions, wild dogs, leopards, hippos out of the water, giraffes, wildebeests (which are rare in this national park) and much more. The great thing about South Luanga is that it beautiful and once you get away from the camps by Mfuwe you don't see hardly anyone. We were the only vehicle in many of the areas we went. At the end of our safari, we stayed again at Pioneer Camp. Pioneer Camp was great. The place is clean, the staff is great, and the cook is amazing. Daniel thanks for a wonderful experience.

Daniel does an amazing job organizing trips as well as guiding through them. He was always easy to reach and provided very helpful tips even outside of the tours booked with him. It would have been much more difficult to plan my trip to Zambia without his competent and friendly help.

Once arrived, he proved to be extremely knowledgeable about flora and fauna inside and outside the national parks and he us very good at spotting even the most hidden animal. He is also very accommodating in terms of any personal preferences and visibly does his very best to make sure everyone is having a wonderful time. I would book a tour with him again in a heartbeat!

We travelled with Zamsato Jan-Feb. 2019, from day one we contacted Daniel at Zamsato we got an ecxelent service, quick reply to our mails, good understanding what we requested, everything was perfectly organized in all details, the lodges were Ila Safari in Kaufe a 5 star luxery lodge and Croc Valley Camp in South Luangwa a basic but OK 2-3 star Lodge both very well located near the park entrance. We can highly recommend Zamsato for your next safari trip, Thanks Daniel.

Totally loved my Safari with Zamsato Ltd.

As a single traveler its always difficult to go on these types of excursions on your own, but Daniel (owner of Zamsato) was a great guide and very easy to get along with. He took care of every detail of the safari and it was all meticulously planned. Daniel also has great knowledge of the habitat and wildlife ranging from the Elephants to the insects, and everything in between.

I did the 'The Kwalata Safari'. That was 7 nights / 8 days exploring the Kafue National Park including 1 night in a lodge outside Lusaka, 2 nights in Central Kafue camping, 2 nights in Southern Kafue camping, 2 nights in a lodge in Livingstone. Personally I though it was barging and will do it again just for longer next time.

As I visited strait after the rains, so there was lush growth hiding the game, but Daniel still spots and points them out and he was far quicker with his camera than I was, so nothing was missed.

All in all I saw 4 of the big 5 on my first safari and hear the 3 of the 5th (lions) late at night around the campsite.

Finishing in Livingstone is also a great way to relax after 4 days of driving on tracks, but we never once got stuck or had serious trouble as Daniel knows what he is doing and what his 4x4 minibus is capable of.

Since we had been on many lodge safaris already in Zambia, we (a couple) wanted to do something completely different. We contacted Daniel and he arranged a trip for us from Livingstone to Liuwa NP, Kafue NP and then drop off in Lusaka.
We stayed in Highlands lodge (the lodge of Daniel's wife). The hospitality was great.. The food, especially the traditional Zambian meal prepared for us and 3 other guests was absolutely incredible. My husband, a Zambian, was absolutely estatic about it.

During our road trip: Daniel made our whole trip a wonderful experience. He shared fatcs and interesting information about local tribes about the area we drove through. He was very professional, though always in for a laugh.
The tents were comfortable, the camping sites were back to basic but with everything we needed and very peaceful and quiet. Everything was very well organized.
The game drives we had with Daniel were outstanding. He gives you all the time you need for pictures and is not in a rush. His knowledge of the bush and especially birds is outstanding.

This trip was not just a "game viewing trip", since you get to see so much more than just national parks. Its a road trip through a part of Zambia, it shows all sides of Zambia, both the "beauty and the beast". An incredible experience and we will certainly use Zamsato again for another experience in another part of Southern Africa.

Enjoyed a one month road trip in Zambia with Zamsato, visiting several National Parks (NP). We focused primarily on Liuwa Plain NP, Kafue NP and South Luangwa NP. Our guide from Zamsato, Daniel, was superb driver, navigator, game-spotter, cook and organizer. Daniel is a Zambian resident and knows the country and its roads, wildlife, parks, lodges and campgrounds very well. He is respected as one of Zambia’s best overall guides and tour operators. Highly recommended.
