Slightly more costly than the local market but the quality is better. If you want something to last a few days in the fridge well worth the extra few dong. Not like the Walmart’s, Tesco’s or other big hyper markets, most of us know. But...More

I didn’t visit the grocery store so in case you’re looking for something specific in that department this might a place worth visiting but apart from that you really do not need to visit Lotte Mart. To me it seems like a east-german or soviet...More

This department store reminded me a socialist deparment store in my country, when I was a child. What shocked me the most was that the 90 percent of Vietnamese shop assistants do not smile and 95 percent do not speak English! In the end I...More

It's not a shoping center, but market. We didn't find here good shops or brands, but we bought a pretty dress from some Vietnamese designer for me.

Seoul station is a large concourse with ticket counters clearly visible. All along one wall. Just tell your driver"Seoul yok", get out where he drops you and go up the escalator to access the station. That's all you need to do. Lotte Mart is also at top of escalators. Namdaemun has 24 hours market but some stalls close in evening and new ones arrive for night

Hi, is it cheaper to buy toys from Dongdaemun toy street or lotte department store? Or is there a toy section in lotte Mart?

Dongdaemun toy street will be cheapest price than other places. Department stores mainly deal with premium brands, so prices are expensive. On the other hand, Lotte mart sells mid to low-priced products. The difference between department store and mart is difference brand and price.

Just Back Report - Seoul / Busan / Jeju (3 Replies)
Thank you to all the forum members who gave valuable inputs in planning my trip to Korea. Just got back, and would like to share our itinerary, for the benefit of future travelers. We were in Korea for 12 full days, a group of 8 pax including 3 kids. The purpose of our trip was sightseeing, not so much 'relaxing'. Those traveling in smaller groups & without kids can certainly see more places in the same time frame. Haven't posted any driver recommendations here, but if you'd like...More
