Worthy visit to the lady buddha at the Peninsula. You can walk around the grounds where the lady buddha is located. You can spend a couple of hours there to explore the temple, many other buddha statues there too n the garden. It is a marvelous view overlooking n beyond the bay. Try to visit in the evening as it will not be too hot. You are likely to see monkeys too as it is near to the monkey mountain.

Quite near Da Nang museum, in the end of Le Dinh Duong St. I walked in and felt so peaceful in any parts of this Buddhist site. Both the interior of the Shrine and the ground are added by many Buddha. I also saw some vegetarian restairants near the entrance.

The 67-meter-high statue of the Bodhisattva of Mercy is at Linh Ung -Bai But Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang and dominates the skyline in a similar way to Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer.

It's made in the whitest of white material and easy to see from a long way off.

The statue is the highest Bodhisattva of Mercy statue in Vietnam; 17-meters in diameter and has 17 floors.
Each floor worships a different Buddha.

Set on the side of Monkey Mountain the statue and the accompanying pagodas make for interesting sightseeing, along with the stunning vista from on high.

For me it's a photo opportunity but for many others has strong religious significance.

I have been to the Phap Lam Pagoda so I am surprised to see other photos posted by other reviewers which do not relate to this religious site. I made a shortlist of attractions for my quick tour to Da Nang and have included Phap Lam Pagoda. It is conveniently located inside an alley just along the busy street from the city. There is no entrance fee but you are free to give donations. We did not bother going inside the building since we only had a few minutes to spare and were happy taking photos of sculptures from the garden.

It is another Buddhist temple. It is nice though but looks like a normal temple. Most special thing I saw was a very large Buddha statue that u don't see in every temple. The grounds were well kept as well. So I give it an average, stop by if ur close but probably don't have to make a special plan to go out of your way to see it.

Limited tourists. Pleasant setting. Typical temple. Nothing wonderful and memorable. A place to relax and enjoy.

I hired a taxi driver for a day tour and this was on my list. As he turned from a busy road to the entrance gate, the traffic noise disappeared and it was peaceful, quiet and reflection time. The courtyard houses happy buddha, goddess of mercy plus more around. Entrance is free, but there are donation boxes around. Nice place to spend quiet time even for half an hour.

The pagoda was a great find off a busy street in Da Nang. Lots to see in this working temple and well worth a visit. We were a group of 4 in February 2018, just after TET. One of the resident Buddists was very friendly and even took us in to their small enclave to visit and pray at their shrine. A humbling experience, thank you.

Phap Lam Pagoda is on a main road but the moment you set foot inside the gates the outside world fades away. The huge statues of the laughing buddha and Guanyin outside are a little crass but the inside of the temple is beautiful. Services are held there on the weekends and all are welcome. As you look at the front of the temple, on your right is a large Bodhi tree, apparently more than 100 years old - I was told that the temple itself is 150 years old. Certainly some of the bonzied tress outside seem that old. Walk around the back of the main Buddha image inside and you will find 2 shrines commemorating all those who died in the fighting in 1975, with photographs of the victims - quite a powerful and moving memorial
