This place has it all. Inside an play area, cinema. Outside a food market with lots of different food stalls. There is also a very lively music scene. A great place for you to have fun

I came here for the weekend night market. There were plenty of food options, and great little vendors. They had live music, video game dancing activities, and the whole place was beautifully lit with multicoloured lights.

We showed up at 11 am on a rainy day based on the good reviews. It is only open after 5pm and 75% of the activities are closed as machines were piled up on top of each other. I think the area around it might have a lot of stalls that open at night time only. We unfortunately did not stay until then. It looked like it was great 5 years ago....

We didn't get to see the full Helio Center due to rain. There was outdoor market which we didn't experience.
inside disappointing in terms of area.
Best was the go cart. Take note it will start slow and then speed up without any warning it will speed up and will give you a whiplash or worst into the barrier. It will hurt like hell if this happen.
the video game is pretty ordinary with ticket payout.
Take note if you intend to purchase separate cards DO NOT add winning tickets to individual card. They will make you claim ticket prize individually. Make sure you combine your winning to one card only.

The Helio Centre is a prominent feature of Da Nang's burgeoning waterfront district, designed primarily for pre-teenage kids. The centre is indoors, and can best be termed as an amusement park.
Parking is a bit hit and miss. It was not apparent that there was any off-street car-parking, so we parked on the street, around the back of the building. We managed to circumnavigate the building, which takes up a whole block, before we could find the entrance, which was well-concealed behind a large stage, that at 7 o'clock in the evening was belting out some awful rock music. A bit of a turn-off.
However, we did make it inside and found the ticket booth. If you are a foreigner, and cannot read of speak Vietnamese, then you may as well walk out again. All signage is in Vietnamese, as were the brochures setting out the various fees for different pricing packages. The sales staff had limited English language capability, so understanding what things cost could be very difficult.
However, if you can get over that hurdle, the night is made. There is no entrance fee if you just want to look, but then, where is the fun? We purchased a combo ticket for each of our daughter and her cousin, who were both 9-year-olds. This ticket provided 3 rides, and 35 "goes" on the multitude of slot machines and sideshow attractions. All for the princely sum of VND100,000 (approx $4.5) each. This kept the kids busy for well over 2 hours, and they were very happy. An added bonus was that, depending on the skill level of the players, tickets were issued by most of the attractions, which could then be redeemed at the end of the night for the usual sideshow "junk" that kids love to love.
For an extra, modest charge, you can also go bowling. However, it is not what you would be used to. The bowling balls are about half the size of a proper bowling ball, and quite heavy for a small child. However, there are no finger holes! So you need to hold the ball in your hand, and launch it like in lawn bowls. The pins are set up like normal bowling, but are spaced a little further apart, and there is no "gutter", as the sides are protected by a device that keeps the ball in play. A little bit like a pin-ball machine, actually. The scoring was overhead, and so the kids can see what they scored. In all, that kept them busy for about 30 minutes. Other attractions which we did not try included the mini ice-skating rink, and upstairs was a go-kart track.
We didn't try any of the food, and can only guess that what was available was the usual type of food that kids enjoy. And I assume this would have been equally inexpensive.
In summary, it was a good night out for the kids, and I did enjoy seeing the smiles on all the children's faces. And as Da Nang has the propensity for rain, having an indoor, air-conditioned facility, can save Mum and Dad from going mad.

This is a great arcade for kids and adults. Games are not expensive and lots of indoor rides. Please don't miss out the Go kart on 2nd floor. It's great fun for adults and older kids.

This place look nice on Facebook and Website.
However, trust me it has so many problems with management and services, quality check.
Helio is a indoor playground and air-conditioned room, the smell of frying oil is bad it comes from all food stalls.
Food court for example, strawberry yogurt with half a glass is ice, one strawberry (only) and small cup of yogurt ... can it taste good? OMG too bad
Broken game machines has no notification: so once you swipe / tap the cash card, you waste your money for nothing, complaint with staffs and they said there is no refund, so that was a ripped off on broad day light.
Tickets eater is another nightmare, we won around 800 tickets, the tickets eater ate all 800 tickets and shown 327 tickets only. We asked the staffs and they said sometime the machine is like that "smile and walked away" OMG.
This place has so many ways to cheat your money.
Tickets can be exchange to certain gifts at gifts exchange counter, be aware that everything here is so expensive, you have to really spend a lot just to give small thing here, while everything here can just go outside and buy so much cheaper.
Staffs are unfriendly and irresponsible!

Loads of stalls unopened. Looks good in the pictures but not! Left after 30mins of being there. Loads of bars but not really any atmosphere.

It only costs VND65k for kids (VND25k for adults and VND40k for kids below 90cm) to play many games. Good activities during rainy day at Da Nang. There are facilities for go kart and ice skating as well.
