We had a wonderful stay in Hoi An except the Resort. The people, the ancient town, the sightseeings are really nice. We discovered a lot and gained great experience. We also were invited to Tulip Silk to take a look if we wanted to make cloths. It was not too far from the bus stop so we took a walk. We came there and knew that the Tulip Silk is the sister of Quoc Huy Silk. We felt it believable because we saw a lot of good comments on Tripadvisor.
We felt happy when we greeted by a lovely smile and welcome of the staff. They were really more friendly than the receptionist of the resort.
We just took a lot and were explained all we asked for. Finally, we just ordered two long dresses and two Shirts.
We got them the day after, they were perfect, we tried and they're lovely.
Highly recommended.

Among a thousand of shop in Hoi An Ancient Town. We normally have two ways to find a shop. Firstl: search on the Google and find in Tripadvisor with shop will be believable. Second: get the advice of local people or receptionist of the hotel where we stay.
Tulip Silk is located in the main road of Hoi An town so it is easy for you to find out if you want to make some clothes.
- All the ladies were friendly, helpful and welcome any guest with their smiles.
- Cold towels and water complimentary were very good in sumer time in Hoi An.
- All orders would be carried out very quickly and items delivery on time.
We came, ordered and recieved good quality clothes. Thank for all.

We booked through Agoda stayed in Hoi An for 2 nights. We did not intend to go shopping in Hoi An but the polite manner of the receptionist that made us so happy and we followed her recommendation to get to Tulip Silk once time.
This place seemed very easy to find out and also impressive. It is located in the main road of the ancient town. Good location and decoration of the shop. The staff was very friendly and they smiled and welcomed us at the first step. We were served with cold towels and water that was too comfortable for us during summer and walked a little bit far from the bus stop.
Two shirts, two jackets were ordered after choosing styles and materials (They were very calm when we asked for serveral requirements).
We received items the day after. They're lovely and fitting, just a little adjustment but it was no problem.
Happy shoppong in Hoi An.

If you're looking to get a suit tailored, please, please do yourself a favour and spend a little bit more at either Kimmy's or BeBe . I was recommended this place by the hotel receptionist and This ended up being a terrible experience and wish I hadn't given them a cent. They were rude, rushed me, told me they would only do one additional fitting and kept saying "I know, I know" when I was trying to tell Them what adjustments I needed. Also there is no air conditioning in the shop and it is like an oven to try a suit on. The suit i ended up with has not been made well. It's got loose cotton everywhere, bunches up at the neck which I only properly realised when I was at the hotel (see picture) and the fabric is cheap. As they told me they would only make one additional adjustment I didn't go back to get it fixed and will hopefully be able to find a tailor at home to fix it. Not a great experience overall, so I'd really recommend another tailor up the road or just go to a proper suit shop, buy a designer suit on sale and have alternations made as required. Don't give them your money.

Hoian is well-known as "Shopping City" for the tourists in Vietnam. We found the Tulip Silk as the hotel's staff recommendation.
The location is good, in the center of the Acient town. The decoration of the shop was attractive us with the traditional style. It was very tidy and clean.
The staff was good in English and a little in French but we loved the way how they greeted us in our native language.
They helped us very enthuasiastically from choosing the fabric, the patterns, the styles ect,. especially we can bargain the price. They were very patient and good at dealing with their guests. We got our clothes the next day. There was something repaired but generally all was ok and beautiful
Another made us happy was the cold towels and cold drink as free services.

A long time for us to be back Hoi An, anything was the same but we got new recommendation from Hotel staff to take a look at Tulip Silk.
Hoi An has been considered as a "Shopping City" in Vietnam so coming to a shop and buying something were like a must when treveling to Hoi An. This clothes shop is on the main road near the crossroad in the center of Hoian so it is very easy to find out.
The price was very reasonable for us (Vietnamese people) and i think the price was the same with all their guests. We loved the way they served their guests (always smiled and tried their best to sell their clothes and make their guests satisfied)
Cold towel and mineral water were served as free service.
We're proud of them who make the image of Vietnam tourism industry to be sunshine with all foreigners who travel to Vietnam.

Great casual clothing made. Why have one top when you can have eight. Great range of fabrics. Trang and Gai were helpful as was the tailor.

Trang was super helpful at getting some tops and pants made. She helped me decide what suits my shape. I now have 6 new tops and 3 pairs of pants I'm happy with. If my luggage allowance was better there would be more !

After trying out A Dong Silk (reviewed separately, and positively), I experimented by dropping into this place pretty much at random.
I got a couple things made to begin with (a work dress, an evening dress) and I was pretty happy with the price. The quality wasnt as good as A Dong Silk, but it was reasonable and the clothes fit. They could tell I was happy and so encouraged me to order more.
So then I got too enthusiastic and thought "why not?" They did all the costing for another 4 or so items. Costs were suddenly much higher than for the items above - and I would guess similar to A Dong Silk prices. For example I paid $US55 for a very simple chiffon (?or silk) wrap/jacket. I should have walked away, but also thought to myself "they did a good job the first time", and to be honest I couldn't be bothered going through the whole costing process again somewhere else (it was soooo hot!). In hindsight I was also stupid to get some of these items tailored as they were simple light loose jackets requiring no fitting, and I was stupid to have agreed to the prices.
Anyway all would have been reasonably ok if the items fit well and were high quality....
But I was not happy with some of the items, and the women were not keen to make changes (I had three fittings). Re- the simple jackets, they hadnt bothered to finish the inside of the jacket and when it folded back, you could see ugly stitching. Given the lack of fitting and simplicity of the jacket, I thought this was the least they could do. They promised to fix it and didnt, so I had to ask again. I also had a red dress and the top of it just didnt fit well- they tried to fix it twice (apparently) but it was no better, in fact, worse. In the end - heat and time demands took over- and I gave up and just paid and left.
By the time I left the shop, I was disillusioned. I had lost trust in the staff's interest in doing a good job - their primary goal seemed to be to persuade me everything was fine - and I felt I paid a lot for simple articles that were not well made and, in the case of the dress, dont actually fit.
I am now home and tried on the red dress and even my husband noticed it doesnt fit properly (and he is very non-observant when it comes to clothes). There were also marks on the dress which they assured me were just my sweat, but they werent as they are still there on getting home.
Also beware, 3% commission got added to the visa charge for using the visa and on both occasions, I needed to pay an extra 200K VD for 'better lining' (which was never included on any receipt, so I was suspicious as to where this went). I havent checked whether they used an appropriate exchange rate yet, but I was a bit suspicious at the time.
One of the things I think that happens is when you lose trust in the staff, the whole thing just spirals and feels a negative experience. As noted, some of it was my fault for not walking out and/or thinking more about what its worth getting tailored.

My girlfriend and I are naive travellers and surely got ripped off here, any seasoned traveller would surly have avoided this place.
We followed our hotel receptionist’s recommendation of a tailor, which we later found out (via Trip Advisor) that they get commission from the shop owner.
I'll just list the facts:
- we got about 9 items made
- my girlfriends pants were fine
- my girlfriends shirts were okay too, apart from when we were picking up the items and still found that some button holes were not made or not even opened yet. (yes I know it is easy to open a button hole.)
- my suit jacket is fine
- my suit pants have a piece of string hanging from the rear which looks as though a needle had pulled some of the fabric
- my tie is just made from loose material and doesn’t look good when tied up (this is probably my fault though but I would avoid the tie if you can’t use loose material)
- when picking up my suit pants, the little metal clip around the waist wasn't straight, I asked them to fix this which they said yeah we will (we had to visit again anyway to pick up my girlfriends items anyway). When I got back home in Australia I noticed this was not fixed.
- my suit pants button has that much loose thread around it, they did not do the buttons properly
- one of my shirts buttons has already popped off when I was putting it on, I wasn't going rough. On further inspection all of the buttons seem to only be loosely sown on every item we purchased
All in all if you bargain them down I’m sure the quality would have been okay, however we didn’t bargain too well (which is our fault) but expected decent quality for what we were paying.
Also my pant material feels cheap; I’m not knowledgeable in this topic so I can’t say for sure. The shirt material feels very good.
Lastly they were so nice when we first got in, up to when they got our deposit. The next day we shown up to try the items and the main lady which we dealt with wasn’t smiling or happy or even as chatty and friendly.
After looking up this place on Trip Advisor, it is obvious that these other reviews are not real and are in broken English.
We feel ripped off, cheated and felt this experience put a dark shadow for us in our mind of what Vietnam is like; lucky for us we found a nice ice cream place over the river with a very very very friendly lady.
