We were picked up by our guide Spring who was very friendly and informative, we went to the market first to look at the food then on to a boat and then on to a small coracle which is a bamboo circular boat and went up river to the place where we had the cookery course. It was great fun and we cooked 3 different dishes and then ate them for our lunch, an excellent tour even if like my husband who never cooks. Would highly recommend this tour especially with Spring as a tour guide.

We were picked by our tour guide Ngoc who was very friendly and professional. Great tour started off with a tour of the market and then off in a 20 minute boat ride along the river. We then went on a bamboo basket boat into the mangroves such fun. After that we did a wonderful hands on cooking class and we learnt how to make some authentic Vietnamese food. We ate the food that we prepared with the other great people on the tour. Great day out all up about 5 hours and very reasonably priced.

Such an amazing experience. We got to see the central market and see how the locals sell their food from fruit, vegetables and seafood. Got to fish with a net by hand. We caught lots of fish. Then a lady came with a small bamboo round boat. She took us around the water coconut Island and we tried to catch little crab with a small hand made rod. Lunch was right after. They made us banana blossom salad, a vegetable called morning glory with some rice and a red snapper fish made with ginger. So good! Thank you to Ngoc Anh who was our tour guide for showing us around. She speaks really good English and she sure knows her stuff. She is really highly recommended by us to show you around and has a bright future in tourism.

We can highly recommend this tour. Anh was a really friendly tour guide. We enjoyed the bicycle tour very much and also the vegetarian farm and the local market. It’s very interesting to learn more about the Vietnamese fruits and plants. The best for us was the cooking session. And the food was so delicious. If you are in hoi an book this half day tour 🙂👌🏽
