Ty was very helpful, attentive and polite in assisting me to create a custom leather jacket (which turned out beautifully in 24 hrs) and even came with a matching headband to the lining of the jacket - all for a fantastic price. Ty was the best part of the entire experience and i would highly recommend Tuong Tailor for a custom experience in Hoi An - very fluent english is spoken here also. Great experience and everything fits perfectly. Ty was perfect.

..While I was in Hoi an I intended to get a suit made but I was very tight in time. I was in Hoi an 19 yrs ago and was very happy with the suit that I had made for me. I went to one of the larger tailor shops who had consistently good reviews with a positive history of working within a tight time frame. It was a very busy shop and I met with one of the assistants the lovely " Madona "who proved herself to be a tough negotiator but we eventually settled on a price for a three piece suit and a shirt. I took Madona's advice on the materials to be used and explained to her changes that I wanted both to their standard designs to their suits and shirts which after a short discussion she agreed to but did take her advice against one of the changes to the shirt which i took on board. After a couple of fittings they were ready for collection the following night. They have a excellent fitting room under the watchful eye of Kim who ensures quality control of the various garments made for the constant flow of customers. Overall it was a positive experience in dealing with this tailoring establishment made all the better in dealing with a very capable and helpful shop assistant in Madona.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Tuong Tailor. We both had clothes made at the same time all within 48 hours.
Yen helped me - she was excellent, kind and thoughtful. She helped me choose the best fabrics for the dresses I wanted (I ended up choosing five: 2 long dresses and 1 short work dress, 1 fancy cocktail dress with a flower pattern and a suit with both a dress and pants. I even added two additional pairs of pants last minute. Everything came out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier.
My husband was helped by Kim, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a perfectionist. My husband wanted more help deciding on a shape that worked for him, and she was a great person to do that. He ended up buying 3 shirts, 3 suits and 2 jackets - all which look great! Kim would not settle for anything less than the best quality, and sent back suits we thought were perfect for even more improvement.
We had such a lovely experience and certainly recommend Tuong as a “must” for anyone looking to get custom clothing in Hoi An. It might be more expensive than other tailors in the area, but the quality makes it worth it.

If you’re looking for a tailor for a reasonable price, don’t bother coming here. We were encouraged by the positive recommendations and was excited to get several pieces made during our stay in Hoi An. However, we were shocked to receive exorbitant quotes for our pieces (such as $98USD for a simple linen dress, $74USD for casual unlined pants, $560USD for two simple suits, $45USD for a shirt) - we expected to negotiate and tried to do so, but they were unwilling to come down on the price and tried to convince us to go for a cheaper material if we wanted a lower price (noting that the initial material they chose was already borderline cheap-looking).
I wouldn’t mind paying above average prices for well-made pieces, but these prices were simply ridiculous and the entire experience felt designed to gouge tourists.
I cannot speak to the quality of their finished products, but their quotes and unwillingness to negotiate was enough for us to walk away. We saw a few other foreign couples do the same after they received their quotes.

We are one of the oldest and largest tailored in town. We work professionally and conscientiously with reasonable prices, and use high-quality fabrics for all our products that we can warranty when you wear them.
If you have tailored clothes, experienced our services, and used our products, you will understand that it was NOT the same as what you heard from others. If you try our tailoring service experience to give us a chance to show you that you may have misunderstood us, we will be happier if you give such feedback.
Finally, all teams in our family were shocked seeing your review and feel sorry if you experienced somewhere else but not the real Tuong Tailor because in Tuong Tailor, we're banned to give you such experiences.

Finding the right tailor in Hoi An is a tricky experience, there are sales people (and some con artists) on every street trying to pull you into a shop with the promise of super cheap clothing.
Tuong tailors is hard to miss, the big open shop front and smartly uniformed tailors ready to assist you.
We were in Hoi An for three days, so weren’t in the biggest rush, however Tuong Tailors had us design our suits and got us measured up on day one, 24 hours later we were back for a first fitting, and 6 hours after that our suits were ready for a final fitting.
Mai was the tailor who helped me with my suit, and she was AMAZING, so helpful, knowledgable and professional. She (and everyone else in the shop) speak perfect English so there’s no problem at all with communication.
We went for some of the higher quality fabrics, between us we spent about $800 on a three piece suit each, plus an additional two piece for me, as well as two shirts, and a pair of linen trousers for my partner.
With some of the other fabric options, we could have spent half that at Tuong, so they really do have options to fit all budgets whilst still providing outstanding quality.
36 hours to make, fit, fit again, and quality control three suits and two shirts is incredible, but I’ve heard that they can produce items in as little as 6 hours if you’re in a hurry! They also facilitated shipping back to the UK for us and will keep our measurements on file in case we want to order anything else in the future.

Was recommended this tailor by a local businessman and felt compelled to share my experience (this is my first review on TA).
Despite the higher prices, their attention to detail, opinion on style and colour as well as their determination to make sure the suit is well fitted and that the customer is comfortable is second to none.
I highly recommend Sophie - I had 4 suits made and one suit from home adjusted (for free).
Sophie was patient, reassuring and cared more about how I looked than myself. I returned multiple times over 4 days to ensure everything was the right fit. Not once did Sophie complain about how fussy I was, she was always willing to listen and be firm when needed, which I respected so much.
The whole shop had a good feel about it, every employee was warm, funny and lovely.
There are 300 tailors in town, so the experience can be so overwhelming. I hope this review helps someone choose the right tailor because not all are the same.
Remember, a poor man pays twice.

I had two suits made by Tuong Tailors and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. I was looked after by a lady called Bo Bo who was there from the initial material selection process and then through the rest of my fittings until both suits were the perfect fit.
The prices may be slightly higher than some other shops but it was well worth it for the level of service I received. It’s immediately obvious that the shop is a step above others when entering and you’re always greeted with a smile on arrival every single time.
I intended to just have one linen suit made but after returning the next day for my first fitting I was so impressed that I sat down to have another made even though I wasn’t coerced to do so at all.
Genuinely a 5 star experience and they even organised smaller packaging and shipping back to the UK for a fair price.

Highlight of my trip! Madona (Tao) made my whole experience so fun! She is so knowledgeable, kind and very funny. She knows exactly what customers want before they know and is super attentive. She helped me start to finish, through the fittings till final product. All the employees are super friendly and amazing customer service all around. Most importantly we were super impressed with quality of material and the craftsmanship. They turned around a day and a half 2 suit sets, 2 work dresses, 1 jacket, and 1 summer dress. They can make anything and so fast! It’s so impressive. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, customization, tailoring, and speed! I’m 200% happy with my experience and clothes! I plan to order more in the future since they hold your measurements.

I had a really great experience with Mina at this tailor shop. She really lets you take your time to decide what you want and is very helpful with suggestions. The fitting sessions are very efficientand flexible.They listen well to your suggestions for alterations, and help with expertise so you don't make mistakes. I made two suits, both came out really great, well made and they have some really good quality fabric.
Mina was my tailor and she is awesome! Very friendly, and gave me good reccomendations and suggestions. I received such a great service for her. I would highly recommend this tailor to people if you want something more high quality made. They also send your clothes to your home adress for you if you want, I used this option because of limited luggage.

This was our favorite experience from our visit to Hoi An! We were brought here by a knowledgeable local guide who recommended this shop for quality and reliability. We were floored by the minimal amount of time (24 hours) it took for these artists to whip up several custom jackets, pants, and shirts that we could leave Hoi An with in our suitcases. Lisa and Bich helped us. They were warm, funny and talented, and made us feel at home with the whole process. They made my husband look and feel fabulous. Would strongly recommend Tuong Tailors.

My partner had a beautiful wool overcoat made and it really is stunning - it looks as good as anything 'off the peg' in a Western high street store (but of course is completely tailored to him). I had a ladies cropped coat made as well in less than 12 hours and I love it. You can take in picture of any garment you want and they'll make it - guaranteed. The best tailor in Hoi An!
