This lady is one of the original dress shops, i visited fifteen years ago, when I needed lots of clothes made so I knew her prices, service and reputation for good quality garments was solid.
And she didn't let me down this time, making my friends shirts, shorts and a blazer that were top quality and fitted perfectly.
It is always daunting, with so many tailors now in Hoi An, but its worth search out Lan no 9 - ( 31 hoang dicu st ) address above is not quite right, but email address clothshoplan_931@yahoo.com

We just picked up our beautiful garments from the lovely Lan and we couldn't be happier. 2 great quality suit jackets for my husband, and 2 on-trend dresses and a perfectly tailored business shirt from me.
Recommended to us by Ben of Phong Nha farmstay fame (as his personal choice of tailor), Lan was brilliant. She has excellent English and is extremely friendly. She has a range of European catalogs for you to make your selection, but she can make anything if you her a picture.
Our clothes came back almost perfect at the first fitting, and with some minor tweaks were tailored to perfect western style.
You'll also get one of the most competitive prices in town. And free water, which goes down perfectly in the hot cloth market.
We'll be wearing our new clothes with pride when we get back home.
I can't recommend Lan highly enough. Look for her inside the market.

Had shoes tailored and they were done in about 24 hours. Fit perfectly the first time and they have a 1 year warranty! Great quality leather and craftsmanship. Bought two pairs of custom leather dress shoes and a matching belt for $210 USD total. Easy to communicate in English and also take credit cards. Awesome experience!

I first visited Lan seven years ago during my last stay in Hoi An and ordered about half a dozen dress shirts. Although some of the material has worn better than others I continue to wear several of the shirts today and they still look great.
As such, I was keen on returning to Lan when in Hoi An last month, and was not disappointed! This time I had eight shirts made, and I was pleased with the result - the fit was good and she turned them around in two days at what I felt was a very reasonable price. She also tailored a jumper for my daughter, and happily made some adjustments following a fitting so that it was precisely what my daughter wanted.
Also appreciated was Lan's service orientation, friendliness and good command of English.
