I went here with a friend to get an outfit made as we’d heard that Hoi An was the place to go for tailor made clothes and there are a lot of tailors to choose from, but we were so pleased that we chose Vy - they are situated just outside the old town and are very reasonably priced because of this and the workmanship and quality was superb. In fact when we went back the next day to collect our outfits we were so pleased we had more made! A definite highlight of our trip.

We went by the recommendation of our hotel host. At first we just wanted to get a shirt and a pair of shorts. But ended up buying four shirts two shorts, trousers and a dress because we were so impressed by the friendliness, professionalism and quality. This tailor is a little bit off the tailor street at the edge of old town but it’s absolutely worth a visit because the quality is great and the prices are a lot lower. They offer a wide range of colors and materials like cotton, linen, silk, ... you name it. My wife first didn’t want anything but after we came for the fitting for my shorts she was so impressed by the work that she decided to get a dress made off a picture she found online. I ordered another shirt and pair of shorts, and we got it on the same day in the evening :-)

I am so excited and thrilled with my silk and lace dress for my daughters wedding in January ! I had a picture of the design and style I liked but was unsure and apprehensive as to whether they could make it the way I wanted it. The dress is perfect and Vy and her young assistant couldn’t do enough to make me so pleased with the dress! Highly recommend this tailor in Hoi An!! The time frame they had my dress made in with little alteration was AWSOME .....

Just picked up my clothes from Vy. I took with me from Sydney some Seed and Witchery clothing and had them made in different colours. Excellent turnaround 24 hours. The clothes all fit beautifully. Thank you to the ladies at Vy.

We came to VY due to a recommendation from our hotel as there is a guarantee on all of their clothes. The shop is off of the beaten track, but only about a 5 minute walk from the Japanese bridge.
They made a dress for me from a picture. I was so pleased with the outcome, the dress looked exactly like the picture and fitted perfectly.
My boyfriend got a suit with matching tie along with a linen shirt which he was also very pleased with.
The service was very good for an excellent price and I highly recommend.

I had a skirt made here and the service was fantastic. It's a lovely shop and the staff are very patient and caring. They even brought the skirt to my hotel for me to try it on. I really enjoyed my experience there and I would certainly get more clothes made there if I ever go back.

My attention was caught every time I walked in front of their shop by a beautiful blue dress. After finally having it ordered, I was very happy of the quality and the size, all of this for a cheap price.

There are over 700 tailors in Hoi An - so how do you choose? If you go with your hotel recommendation you will get a good product but pay a 20-40% premium as commission to the hotel. Similarly tailors in the old town are more expensive. On this basis just outside the old town we found Vy.
A men's suit in wool/cashmere material is USD140, extra pants 55 and business shirts in good quality cotton or poly cotton (easier ironing) were USD20. The service was fast & efficient - no doubt just like other tailors and Vy is very friendly & helpful. Just a lot cheaper than The big ones who are reviewed at the top.
