After planning our trip to Hoi An I knew I wanted to make a business suit and some shirts. I did quite a lot of research online and read countless reviews before deciding on Peace Tailor. Peace is a lesser known tailor however from the reviews I read the quality is on par with the more well know tailors Be Be, Kimmy, Yaly etc albeit at a cheaper price. Suits here (depending on fabric) are about USD140 vs USD 250. Shirts are 35 vs 60. So I decided to give them a go. I had a business suit made with 2 extra trousers. 5 business shirts, and 3 linen shirts. All up cost me around USD 500. The whole process took about 2 days from the initial fitting, second fitting the next day and suit delivered in the afternoon. I think what made for such a successful fitting was the staff. Her name was An and she spoke perfect English, was a tailor herself and you could tell she was well educated in modern tailoring. I was very particular I what I wanted and showed her examples. The fitting process was very meticulous from the measurements taken and the photos she took to send to the tailor to give them an idea of body type etc. I was really happy with the result and would highly recommend Peace Tailors if you want a quality suit and a fraction of the cost over the more well know tailors. Make sure you ask for An.

After spending hours researching tailors and visiting stores, I decided to have a double breasted suit and four shirts made at Peace Tailor due to their competitive pricing and positive reviews. The store has a relaxed feel to it and none of the staff are pushy, nor is it busy and crowded like other larger tailor shops. I was assisted by An, who was great. An did not waste my time and knew what to recommend in terms of style. An was very helpful and friendly and gave me a great price. Overall, I paid about 6,085,000 VND for the suit, which came with an extra pair of pants, and for four shirts. I am very happy with the suit. I feel that I have got an amazing bargain for the style, quality and fit. The shirts are also very well fitted. What really stands out however is the pants. They are cut perfectly and while they are slim fit they are not too tight. I also had a suit made at Yaly Couture which was much, much more expensive and is not as nice as the suit made at Peace Tailor. The shirt I had made at Yaly was too tight also. I only wish that I brought more from Peace Tailor but I go home tomorrow - Peace Tailor is the best tailor in Hoi An!

An and her colleagues at peace tailoring helped myself and my girlfriend pick out many pieces we wanted done. They were not at all pushy like some of the other tailors around town, but they have no beckoning you in from the street. My girlfriend had 3 dresses done and a jacket, I got 2 tailored shirts and a blazer, all were done very promptly with the first fitting being ready in just over 24 hours for all the pieces. They have a great selection of materials for both mens and womens attire. A big catalogue to choose styles as well. They nailed my pieces on the first go and only had to minor readjustments for my girlfriends dresses. They have great advise on what will look good and what matches what. I shop is comfortable and very, as the name suggests, the peaceful. Definitely worth a visit in Hoi an if you're after anything Tailor made for a good price.
