My mum and I really enjoyed the trip out by Jeep (old US war one) to the My Son Sanctuary....albeit getting up at 5am! It was well worth it though, to see the sunrise on the way there, visiting a small village on the way...and to escape the crowds who arrive just as We were leaving. We had the place to ourselves....which was great....managed to walk around the ancient sight with our guide Phi....she was explaining things, but also let us have our own time to view and soak up the atmosphere. Attentive without being too much, she was great. And funny. A lunch was provided at an outdoor/indoor restaurant within the grounds of the UNESCO sight...nice simple lunch and Vietnamese coffee. We also asked to stop at the Lotus fields on the way back...since we had the Jeep to ourselves....and Phi explained about those as well. Great day out! Would like to thank the driver (Huang(?) also. he was a great driver :) They dropped us off directly to our hotel...just in time for a siesta after lunch!

In my opinion this Tour is not so much spectacular, because from Hoi An you Drive 1 Hour to the Monkey Mountain and in this Park you don‘t Go out for watching the Wildlife. You would See more if you will Walk for a while instead of going by the Noise of the Jeep. We saw the Monkeys escaping when we arrived there are very shy. Then the driving on the peninsula was Fine, we drove to the Buddha. After this have a Drink and then drove back to Hoi An. We recommend to Start early that you have a Chance to See Monkeys . You have Bern there at 6 or 7 am. And it’s a Pitty, that you can‘t Go in one Car with a Family. There is only Place for two in one car. And aprox. 400 Dollar for a Family for a half day Tour I think it‘s too expansive .

This was one of the highlights of our trip. This tour took us to outlying markets and some historic sites. The guide was really wonderful and the food was extremely enjoyable

Wow....the best day! We were picked up from our hotel in a Jeep by Phu the driver and Phi our tour guide. We travelled on roads through small rural villages and Phi explained farming practices. We stopped to help husk some corn with ladies. They thought we were funny and laughed and talked. They gave us a corn cob each as a small gift. Travelling up the mountains to arrive at Monkey Mountain, the views were amazing. Phu stopped often to allow us to see the magnificent views. Travelling down we took a rarely used road following the coast. We were so lucky to see a family of monkeys (around 15 or more) swinging, eating and interacting. They were monkeys we had never seen before. Further along we saw a different sort of monkey (dog face I think Phi called them). The visit to the lady budda was wonderful. Such a peaceful, beautiful spot. You could spend hours just looking at the view and enjoying the location. The cave at marble mountain was also amazing. A long full day, but so worth doing. We stopped several times for drinks, food and ice cream. Phi making sure we always had water. Phi and Phu, thank you for an amazing day!
