Review of: Private Tour: Half-Day at My Son Sanctuary
It took 45 minutes to collect everyone from all the different hotels in Hội An before we finally hit the road to Mỹ Sơn. Our guide Tzung was very extremely friendly, bubbly, a great entertainer on the bus, knowledgeable, very good and clear English and he always made sure we were comfortable and knew what to do. The visit of Mỹ Sơn was somewhat interesting but way too long. The site has been bombed by the Americans during the war and it’s not in great shape anymore. When the guide said that it was like a mini Angkor, I had good expectations. But it’s definitely not a mini Angkor. I’m giving the tour a 5* for organisation but the tour is not that interesting. I would skip the visit to Mỹ Sơn.…

I want to recommend an excellent and very responsible agent named Zumi! Thanks to Zumi my trip was absolutly amazing (!!!) and it is clear that she spent a lot of time thinking about the trip. I traveled alone and contacted Zumi in advance to plan the trip since I didn't want to waste time. I traveled for 10 days. I mentioned to Zumi the destinations I want to visit - Ha Giang, Sapa, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Bin and Hoi An. Zumi planned for me the entire trip, including all the attractions, hotels, transportation, etc. Of all the agencies, she was the cheapest and also the most responsive to my wishes. She was available at every hour for any question and worried about me throughout the trip. To illustrate how incredible she is - my flight from Singapore to Vietnam was delayed by two hours and I had to take the bus to Ha Giang. The delay caused me to have an hour from the landing to the bus in Hanoi. Zumi arranged for me a quick pass in the immigration (someone came to pick me up from the airplane and passed me all phases of the visa in a flash), contacted the bus driver so he would drive more slowly so that the driver who picked me up from the airport could meet him halfway. Everything went smoothly and I did get on the bus halfway. In short, Zumi is amazing and I highly recommend working with her. Her agency is in Hoi An but of course you can contact her at Wattsap and plan everything without meeting her. Her phone number is 975622208 84+…

The ruins of the Cham people are something to be marveled, but we wouldn't have had nearly the same appreciation if it had not been for our incredible guide, Lam. He explained everything and gave great insight to these incredible ruins. Thank you, Lam!

Having not been to Vietnam previously and on the recommendation of friends we used Laughing Roo Travel from Hoi An to book our accommodation, transfers, internal domestic flights and Halong Bay cruise.. Apart from the last airport transfer for our homeward bound flight being delayed due to engine trouble and an alternative vehicle quickly secured everything went smoothly and to plan. It was reassuring to arrive at an airport and find the driver waiting to deliver us to our destination without having to change money first, negotiate our way through the options and secure transportation. I know this is often a more costly way of going about ground transport but you get to a stage in life where you just can’t be bothered going through the motions to save a few Dong. Zumi is very patient at answering all questions and tweaking the itinerary until you are satisfied. Initially our itinerary was jam packed with tours and activities but we had to pare this back and removed all the tours except for the Halong Bay cruise. This turned out to be a wise decision as we were the walking wounded for several days as all three of our party experienced some ailment and we either would have not been able to go along or it would have been uncomfortable to do so. Our experience with Laughing Roo Travel was very positive and we would definitely use Zumi again and recommend her for your Vietnam adventure.…

Didn’t know what to expect but going to My Son was worth the historical value. Our pirate tour guide was worth paying that little extra and was very informative as well.
