Excellent fun! I was the only person in my class and I really enjoyed the whole process. Got to choose 5 different colors of fabric and whole thing took about 90min. Good English, friendly, and very helpful with process, from bamboo and wire to string and fabric and glue and trimming. Recommend!

After seeing all the beautiful lanterns of Hoi An it was so fun to make one ourselves! Family run business, 2 types of classes- finish one they’ve made or build your own from scratch. Learn a bit of history and walk away with your own lantern. Great rainy day activity!

We made it there just in time for the performance at 3.15. The artists are very good and talented and people can sit on little stools and watch the performance. Was a great show, not too long. Lots of things to buy, not overpriced. The lanterns were lovely. So was the pottery section where we could actually see a woman make pots on her potter's wheel. There were carved bamboo roots that were impressive. Also bought some very pretty hand made silver earrings. Enjoyed the visit.

Upstairs there is a display with real silk worms in the various phases of their life cycle in the production of silk. The children, aged 9,6 and 5 were fascinated. They helped feed the larger worms with mulberry leaves. They were amazed at how small the worms had become after spinning their cocoons, and enthralled that the worms are eaten by the people at the silk harvesting stage!
Many beautiful silk garments can be purchased also.

Our tour guide, Tommy Dao, recommended this stop. The location is not easy to find, but worth the Q&A to find it. The make lanterns, and crafts. The experience of meeting the owner, his employees and their ability to produce such intricate work, formed a lasting impression.

We very much enjoyed the traditional music and dance that is put on for tourists twice a day. However, if you are sitting near the front please be aware that when you use your phone or tablet to record or photograph the performance, not only is it very distracting for those sitting behind you but it can actually block their view.

We did this as the last clip on our Hoi An city ticket, and I think it was worth it. If you time it right you can see a cultural performance (singing and dancing) which was more enjoyable that I expected - actually, I would say it's worth the clip if you include the performance. It is essentially a big souvenier shop but at least you get to see them make the lanterns, pottery etc and the building is quite cool (go upstairs and have a nosy!).

When you are in Hoi An you wish you could stay for ever. Just walk around the streets and enjoy this magic little town. When it was near the New Lunar Year celebration so the streets were decorated with colourful lanterns and at sunset the multicoloured lights were reflected in the river.
It was absolutely beautiful. If I had the hance to go back to Vietnam I would definitely choose Hoi An to stay.

This is a very nice place to visit, with a wide range of products manually crafted by local craftsman. Our group participated in a workshop of making lanterns. You can buy clothing (suit, dress) custom made and delivered to the hotel in the late afternoon. Very professional and good quality. Restaurant under the trees in a beautiful setting, with good service. I spent a wonderful time in this place and I would revisit it with pleasure. Worth trying.
